"Hello World!" and other blogging tips
Ok, so this is my first blog on The Wealthy Affiliate, and I wanted to touch on something the rest of newbies might be wondering about. Or, if you aren't a newbie on WA, maybe you have just set up your first Wordpress site and have questions? Read on to be enlightened...
When you first set up a Wordpress site, you automatically have "your first post" generated for you automatically. It's titled "Hello world!" and is totally automated. Just get rid of it. That's right, delete that puppy! Don't be afraid. It's not going to mess anything up. It is only used as an example- in ALL templates and themes!
How do you know what to write about on your blog? There is a simple formula to use that will help you to alleviate the stress from trying to decide what to blog about. It's like this:
1- What do you want to write about?
2- Come up with a catchy title for the subject of what you want to write about.
3- Write about it.
4- Determine your keywords after (or as) you write your blog.
5- Publish and promote!

Don't worry too much about your blogging topics in the beginning. Just keep a schedule of how often you will blog and try to stick to less than 3 specific subjects (we all know a single subject can have hundreds of topics associated with it) and your niche will come to you!
I certainly didn't plan to blog about blogging today, but why not? It's what was on my mind! I can always unpublish it if it ever becomes a conflict with my "current" blogging style!

Welcome to WA and congrats since it looks like you are making GREAT progress! I was wanting to help you with your question but when I click on the html in blue above it appears to be a clickable link so I am not sure what you are asking. I read through this entire post with all comments below but maybe I am misunderstanding what you are trying to make clickable. Can you explain?
No worries, I figured out that free members can't post clickable links and have since become premium :)

yes like that! but i tried to do it in several ways in my post... maybe because i'm not premium?
still not clickable, hmm, I don't know, why it isn't, did you hit the enter after you put it in, that 'll do the job sometimes, set your cursor right behind the link and enter
Hi Susan, thank you! Since I fall into the "newbie category" these tips are very helpful. I've been seeing a couple of you who just started already put up your blog so that's impressive! I know that you have had some experience with this as well so thank you for sharing your knowledge.:}
All it takes to post a blog is to start writing whatever is on your mind... you can do it!

This is very helpful! I am putting a star on this to help me find it. What is your take on writing one's "About Me" page? One person wrote to the effect "It isn't really supposed to be about me."
