First Website at WA

I've been at Wealthy Affiliate a month now and haven't even offered one post. Zilch – Nada. I've posted a ton of comments and have hopefully blessed others from my experience and the input I’ve offered. I've designed many websites over the years, but I have to say, this has been a very new and refreshing experience.

I had my own insurance brokerage firm for 15 years and learned how to design sites during that time. Heck, I never even met most of my clients during the last 5 years that I owned that business. I continue to design sites for close to 20 clients back in Virginia Beach. During all that time, I was on my own.

That means I found the resources, the answers to questions, the hosting solutions, the security, etc. I must be honest and say that it could often be overwhelming. Here at WA I’ve not only found the resources, but also the support and feedback that I never found on my own. I even need to humble myself and admit that I’ve had to unlearn some things and accept sage advice from others.

But that’s the part of growth. Knowing that I don’t know everything, reaching out and asking for input, and receiving it with grace while also offering encouragement and exhortation as my brother Shane does (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...). Yeah, that’s right, I gave you props my brother.

So here goes. My first site at WA is now live. You can find it on my profile page. I welcome your input. Know in advance that I encountered a few hurdles with this site. First, and foremost, was the fact that most affiliates (aside from Amazon) wanted to see some sort of live site prior to granting affiliate rights. Chickens and Eggs my friends! lol

Second is that I’m a musician and want every note played correctly. I’ve played out professionally for most of my life. And so I expect perfection from my site, which is clearly not there yet. I have some verbiage to tidy up, as well as links to add/remove, but as they say – that’s all part of the groove! Peace friends, and thank you!

My husband is a drummer so I know ALL ABOUT that musician perfectionist side! I am currently working on my first site, I may ask for your feedback as soon as I am ready for other eyeballs to see it. Thanks!

Look forward to it, peace! :-)

Oh, you are a musician.
What I know about musicians - they are perfectionist! ;)

I went to your profile and want to see your first site at WA, but couldn't find the link.

Be blessed...

Should be there on my profile.
Here's my WA site: https://musicmayhem.online/
My web design site: https://catchawavedesign.com/
A church site is at http://nhf.church
Another for a client: https://pungostrawberryfestival.info/
That one will be built out again soon as the event comes closer.

Peace my friend! :-)

Good job . I will check it out.
Trevor

Thanks Trevor. I still have more content to add and some other updates, but it's getting there. Peace. :-)

You can do it, as you have stated and that is the attitude that can INSURE your success!

Thanks Mickey! :-)

I haven't checked your website out yet. Just read the comments below. Using Wealthy Affiliate's Site Content is a fantastic resource to use for writing.

Thanks Tania!

Going to have a look now at the site, Bob...

Muso, huh? I dabble in music but more importantly, I have some really great friends from all over who are working all over the globe I commiserate with regularly...

One just left performing at the Formula 1 race in Mexico only to get laid over in NYC (tough gig, that one?)...Lucky bugger...He is on his way back to Dubai soon...

Many really great folks who have hearts of gold and work with passion day in and day out (hmmm, night in and night out more accurate?)...Much respect for ALL musos!

We also have LOTS of fun and jams at 'Da Villa (our local rest stop, aka home) too...We love dry nights in Dubai (nights when no alcohol is served and the bars/clubs are closed)...

That is when the jamming can begin!

Cheers!
Dave : )

Feedback: It looks good...

One friend of mine has two music shops in town, plus he sells products on his website and uses a local Amazon type market site called Souq dot com to make deliveries directly to musos all over town...

He also offers music training classes to the kids and adults locally and plays in a couple of bands in the local Hard Rock and a few other locations...

Lots of ways to monetize that niche and website, bottom line!

Good luck!

: )

Sweet, thanks so much Dave!

Hello Bob, I like the website. I think it is well organized and relates to just about anyone that is into music.

Thanks Harvey!

You certainly know your way around building a website.

May I give you a tip about your blog here?
I see a lot of words stick together, as you have probably copied and past it here. But don't worry, you can edit your blog :)

Thanks Loes. Not sure what you mean about copy and pasted, as it was from scratch. Please clarify to help an old head along! :-)

Ahhhh, now I see what you mean Loes, and thank you! I wrote it in MS Word and pasted it here. Conditional formatting at its finest! lol Think I've corrected it, and thanks again!

Yes, MSWord has its own formatting. It's visual on your website too when you use MS Word. But there you can use the paste in plain text button. Notepad would be a better option, you can also use notepad online.

I use Notepad, and also typically write on a draft page of the site. I was multitasking yesterday and not able to finish it in one sitting, thus my use of MS Word. Have a great day Loes!

Thanks, same to you:)

thanks buddy for this post and for also sharing with us.

Thanks my friend!

always welcome my friend
