An Example: How To Promote Wealthy Affiliate in Person

A lot of people seemed to enjoy it so rather than it disappearing into the comment ether, I thought I'd replicate it as a post.

This hypothetical conversation takes place inside a coffee shop.

One Example of How To Promote WA Offline

Friend< Hey James, how have you been!?

Me> I've been great, how about you?
Friend< Oh fine, things are stressful at work lately, but otherwise OK, what are you doing these days?
Me> I build things you search for.
Friend< Um...What?
Me> Heh heh, sorry...let me answer your question by asking you a question ...Take any topic in the world that you can think of, for example what do you like, I don't necessarily mean work related, I mean ANYTHING in the world. What is something that you really like?
Friend< Well ..I like hamsters, I've always dreamed about having an entire room in my house dedicated to being a HUGE hamster trail. With long loopy runs, spinning balls, and all kinds of crazy things including automated feeders and a water delivery system.
Friend< Sounds kinda silly doesn't it?
Me> Of course not, that sounds amazing!
Me> Now, to answer your question, what I do is teach people like you, how to take all of what you just said, and put it online.
Me> You could tell that story ...you could talk about that dream!
Me> You already must have an idea of what you would buy, and what you would do with those things.
Me> What if you planned out your dream hamster system talking about all the parts and why you'd get them and appeal to other people that loved hamsters as much as you do?
Me> You know, I'll bet if we sat down here for a second while we drank our coffee, popped into our phones and did a little research it'd blow your mind how many people are interested in what you are interested in.

Friend< Holy cow, really!? I wouldn't even know where to start!
Me> Sure! But don't worry about not knowing where to start, I've got a system that I've been using myself and hundreds of thousands of others have been using for years from all over the world that can walk you through every single step and show you exactly what to do, If you're interested I'll send you a link at your email.
Me> Oh, and did I forget to mention that it's free...I mean you'll have to pay something eventually but you can get the hang of things and kind of "kick the tires", so to speak, for free.

Friend< That would be awesome! Can't you just tell me where to go?
Me> I could, but I hate it when people try to go there and the spelling is wrong or whatever, there are plenty of frustrations in life already without having to remember how to type some URL, it'd be best for me to just send you a link you can click on.
Friend< Do you remember my email address?
Me> Why don't you give it to me again just to make sure, and I'll send you the link right now so you have it. I gotta run, let me know if you have any questions!
