$2000 done!
This is StubearBlack's official Stats and Goals page :)
New Revisions: 6/8/17, 7/4/17, 11/18/17, 1/1/18
Well, I was working on a revision to this post and it somehow got deleted which is really irritating. Whatever. I had all my stats laid out perfectly and then it just disappeared. Awesome.
For those that would like to hear about my actual journey,
- First $200 and $250 months (A must read for beginners!)
- 3 years at WA, leaving my 9-5 job, and becoming truly independent
Anyways, I'm going to do this in 2 increments this time to save me the headache.
Now that I've cooled down a bit, I hope you all get some insight into just how important staying the course is, and WRITING WRITING WRITING!! :)

Since Google Webmaster Tools doesn't track data going all the way back to the sites inception, I will start over and give the most current. Again, I had it laid out from the beginning but it got deleted somehow.
GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS
Last 3 Months: (3/9/17 - 6/6/17)
- Total Clicks: 85,984
- Total Impressions: 1,200,095
- Avg. CTR: 7.16%
- Avg. Position: 13 (This number has gone up from 11.3 earlier this year, and does concern me a little since my goal was to get it down to 10).
Goals pursuing
- 100 pieces of gear tested for 2018.
- 100 Youtube videos recorded for 2018.
More Coming soon.
Goals Reached
- $2,000 in the month of December 2016. Particularly proud of this one because I had set the goal on 12/31/15. Logged in 1/1/17 at 12:01 and it was almost surreal to see the number.
- Create a logo/branding, and figure out how to put it in the header. There are some real challenges inside the Hiero theme, lol.
- 52 posts in 3 months.
- 30 posts in 30 days.
- $1000 in a month.
- Implement eBay Partner Network links in all of my articles.
- Make money on that network for 2016 ($82.37 for July, 22.80 for August).
- 200 blog posts.
- Make the header of my homepage scroll down as you are scrolling, making it more convenient for readers to click around the site.
- 20% Return Visitors Overall (5/9/17).
- 25 pieces of equipment tested for my readers for 2017.
- 72 posts in a 3 month span (October - December 2017).
- Get a camera (G7X), and start recording good quality Youtube videos. Did not purchase a new camera, but started the channel and recorded 12 videos so far. Quality is good but a new camera may help moving forward.
- Renovate/update my how to build a home studio guide and make it better.
Goals that failed
- $5000/month by years end (2017).
- Get 532 comments by the end of 2017, putting me at 1,500 (Got to 1,406).
- 200 additional posts for the year 2017 (Completed 181).
- Get avg. position in WMT to 10.
- Comment on all embedded Youtube videos within my articles.
- 36 posts in 3 months (12/13/15, only completed 20).
- 200 articles by 9/1/16 (currently at 193).
- 72 posts in 3 months (only got to 34, which prompted the 30 posts in 30 days goal).
- Test out 15 new pieces of equipment by Dec. 18, 2016 and provide audio samples and/or reviews for my readers (6/15 complete). Samson Go mic, Samson Meteor, Samson Meteorite, AT2020, AKG K240, Audio Technica ATH M40x.
- Get 130 comments by Dec.18, 2016, putting me at 1,000 (Made it to 968).
- 72 posts by my 30th birthday, Dec. 18, 2016. (Made it to 60).
- Comment on all embedded Youtube videos within my articles.
- Renovate/update my how to build a home studio guide and make it better.
- Start a Facebook page.
- Be more efficient with my time. I know I get distracted easily, and moving forward my goal is to cut down on that significantly. For 2017, this didn't happen. I had a tendency to do a million things at once. While stuff got done, I can't help but think I can improve on it and get more work done if I could focus better.
Hope you guys found this inspiring. This blog is meant for me to keep track of my progress, but also for those who are struggling or are new. WA has been a Godsend. Put in the hours and you will see results.
Well that's about it for now. Hope to hear from you all soon.
All the best and God bless,
-Stu

What a nice and steady progress. You came to WA one day before me. Congratulations, you will have great time ahead.
I want to think that I am on the right track, but clearly you are doing better. Really, you had a struggle in the first half a year or so, a lot of persistence and determination was needed to continue, but you managed so nicely. This is something beginners should see to understand real struggle and success.
My way was different, I spent first 12 months only building authority site about mountaineering, and only after that started writing reviews for equipment. So I can see my own data in yours, but I am behind you.
Let's hope for the best. Good luck, just keep going, I am sure nothing can go wrong with you now.
What keeps me going is the fact that I'm really passionate about my niche, which was imparted right when I first started WA. Kyle and Carson really know what they're talking about!
Oh you will, as long as you keep on persisting :) One of my problems in life has always been consistency and focus. I'm always bouncing from one thing to the next. With WA I vowed to change that.
Good to hear that. If you could do it I can too ;)
Keep on going and good luck!
Keep in touch :)
