Some of my articles end up being quite long due to subject matter. I read somewhere that around 400 words is a good size for an article. The claim was that 400 words is best fo

Generally, my posts range from 1500 to 4000 wds. But, as Marcus pointed out, it does depend on topic. I don't try to fluff with needless words, but some topics just take more time for me to convey. And, from my personal statistics, longer articles pull traffic better. 400 is quite minimal in my personal opinion.

Thank you!....I'd prefer to keep them as one post to be honest. I cant remember where I read about the 400 guideline, but it never sat right with me. So I'm glad to hear that keeping it as one post pulls better traffic.

It's an old figure. I've read it also.

A 400 word post is still worth posting if that's all you have to say on the topic. It's definitely a lot better than posting nothing. No need to limit yourself to 400 words, though.

I agree. Most of my articles are over 1,000 words and my shortest is almost 800 words because I didn't need to go as in-depth.

I think the last article I've read on content length is 500... I say write enough to get your point across

If it's all about the same topic, keep it as one article. Make sure you space the text out with subheadings and images so it's easier on the eye, though.

Fantastic, thank you for the response!
