So what keyword tools are the best in your opinion ? Of course, WA keyword tool is great, but what about other keyword tools ?

The free WA tool is fine.

I agree that they're all probably based on Google. So I don't think it's so much about what tool you use, but what you do with it.

I'm currently using the WA tool to start a new blog post. I started to go down a rabbit hole of related longtail keywords. I was losing track. Not having the Competition column sortable is my biggest problem with it. So I decided to copy the keywords and numbers into a spreadsheet. It takes time, but the information is more useful to me there.

For this new post, I have 30 related longtail keywords and I'm still searching. Being able to sort them in the spreadsheet reveals some interesting information. Especially about the competition. I have a few where the keywords are the same phrase except for one word. The Searches and Traffic for those keywords are the same but the Competition can change drastically.

Nice. How about creating a whole tutorial for creating spreadsheets and organizing keywords ?

Most excellent, Darrell. You gave a tool for reverting passive voice to Gomer and I cannot find it. Can you give me the name of that tool, Darrell?

It was Hemingway or something.

That's http://www.hemingwayapp.com

It doesn't actually fix passive voice for you. It identifies passive voice and other things. It's up to you to figure out how to fix them.

Thank you.

I'd love to do that (and other things) but we can't create trainings until we've been premium members for three months. Until then I'm limited to authoring 1 blog post per day.

Yur gonna be 7 kinds of wonderful, Darrell. I can skype you and share your screen and you do your training. HA HA, Where there is a will there is a way.

Honestly, it almost doesn't really matter what kind of keyword tool you use for keywords because there is never a concrete number to rely upon.

The search results and the numbers fluctuate daily. So it's very difficult to put your whole trust in any numbers. Plus, keyword tools are usually measured by advertising campaigns....with that siad, if I had to choose, it would be Google keywords because you get a good idea of

I have to disagree, monthly searches are most likely totally reliable parameter because it is obtained from known data from the past.

QSR is also very exact, completely in agreement with Google. Variations for these parameters are small and unimportant. I have checked it numerous times.

The only parameter i do not believe at all is daily traffic; this is only an estimate based on 1001 parameter. If it was correct I would have been a rich guy already.

Yeah, Google Adwords is a good tool to find keywords and analyzing competition. The only thing is that this tool is not showing so much details when comparing the competition. The competition goes like : High, Moderate or Low. With WA Keyword tool, you see the actual numbers but again, they are not 100 % accurate. There is no keyword tool which is 100 % accurate.

Cannot say much about them because did not use them. My guess is they all are based on Google and should work nicely and they all give only quoted results. This is far from what real competition is, but this is the only what is possible to have. I only use KT and it is perfectly enough, totally reliable within the mentioned limits.

Sometimes I use KWFinder because you can do a few searches for free. But mostly I use the tool from the WA.

But you are right. They are based on Google and there are no big differences between each other.

So I have a bit of a problem for some time :

My Categories Page is located on the top menu. This page contains sub.categories and they pop-out when you point your mouse

I think you did not create it as a proper category page. See this tutorial There is yet another way to do it, by using custom link feature for the top item (page) in your menu. In any case, you do not need any plugin for this.

How to use custom link feature on this top page ?

Go to Appearance, Menus, there is Custom Links option. There are trainings by Nathaniell and Leoemery. Search above in the tab by 'custom menu'.

Your advice was helpful and it worked. Thank you very much :)

Max you will have to add theUrks to those posts on that page.

Say your category is dirt

Then you have a post red dirt

You will need to write a snippet on your dirt page and link to the UR Lof the red dirt post
