Just hit triple figures!
Hello to all my fellow WAers!
I don't blog often on here as I prefer to dedicate all my blogging and writing time to my website. But yesterday was a special day for me and my website and it's something worth sharing with all you awesome people.
I hit triple figures! That's £100 ($133) for me after 11 months of intense hard work and dedication. I thought I'd write this mainly for the benefit of newcomers on this amazing platform - as a reminder that WA WORKS IF YOU GIVE IT TIME AND PATIENCE.
From August last year until April of this year my site didn't make a penny nor cent. I was getting frustrated and some minor cracks were beginning to show through my determination to not give up. Trust me guys, I know it's hard but just KEEP GOING. Follow Kyle's training to a tee and make sure you ENGAGE in WA if you're unsure of anything.
That is all I've done, followed Kyle's training and I read a few online SEO experts' blogs. Suddenly after I got my first sale, money started to come in every few days. Going into May and June that turned into daily which has continued up until now. These have all been from Amazon Associates and interestingly they have ALL come from one post which has rocketed up to page 1 on google.
It's been tiny sales at a time but everything adds up. It's also worth noting that my site's layout is still very basic and needs upgrading (it's in my plans). I have averaged about one post a week since August which is really not that much.
I have screwed up a few times, had to delete posts, reformat every single image on my site etc etc which has been incredibly frustrating. There were times I wanted to give up the ghost and really didn't think all the time investment was worth it.
My website has a lot of evergreen content but it'll be a lot more popular in the summer so I do expect sales to peter out going into autumn/winter. This won't deter me though because I've seen it works. I'll tailor my content and try and focus on more 'wintery' articles.
My confidence has gone into overdrive now that I KNOW it works. I'm enrolled into a teacher training course starting in August but I'm fully prepared to drop out and commit all my time to this if traffic and sales continue to increase.
I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone on here who has answered my questions and posted awesome and informative content. Everything helps and it's all part of the learning process.
My next goal is quadruple figures in both sales and daily traffic. :D
To all of our success!
Stephen.

WOW -- congratulations! This is amazing, and a shot in the arm for me, considering I have been at this for about a year and just made $12.00. I was really able to relate to your post because I, too, have been suffering from those cracks beginning to show about my determination and resolve. It does get frustrating month after month. But once again, someone else here has proved me wrong, that this really does work.
Onward...!
Thank you, Amy! It does work so please don't give up! It depends on several factors but one thing is certain - more quality content = more traffic = more sales!
The trickle will turn into a stream which will turn into a river which will (hopefully) become a tsunami! :D
Congrats to you. I remember the first time I had double figures. I took two weeks of. Then my goal was whenever I increase my figures in my online business, I would match it with my weeks off.
Maybe that is the reason I get so lazy, lol!.
Keep at it, Stephen.
Aye, I am down Aviemore way! :-) Small world! haha! If you need anything then let me know - I've been around for a while and I am happy to help.
Small world indeed! I'll certainly give you a shout if I need a hand. I do loads of hiking down there so might bump into you at some point

Hi Stephen,
Congratulations on your success and determination to NOT quit.
Every successful man and woman started with the "first sale" which is thrilling.
Best wishes for your continued success.
