Time Blocking 2.0
Let me start off by saying that I crashed and burned yesterday before I even lifted off the ground. So no surprise that yesterday's "intention" resulted in less than favorable results. As a partial explanation am working three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) in Washington DC at the Department of State, and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (starting next week) I will be conducting investigations for the FBI. So, my six month "vacation" has now ended and it is time to put my nose to the grindstone. I need to Google that to see where the saying came from ! Anyway, submitting paperwork, completing forms and setting up work schedules started to intrude on my Time Blocking after the first fifteen minutes of the FIRST hour !
I am entering the twilight zone concerning time management and this will be a real, but exciting challenge. Why look at it any other way? Wealthy Affiliate is my home, so this is where I will return every day after doing all that other "stuff" . I will be working on WA training and website development in the evening and on Sunday, and whenever and wherever I can find a wifi hotspot. The commuter bus that I will start taking next week has WiFi (and a bathroom :-) . So I can use the 3 hour roundtrip commute time to good advantage with my laptop connected to WA rather than cursing in traffic. No, I will not take a nap Michael !
TODAY was a much better Time Blocking day - It worked ! I spent four hours in WA training without interruption. Every 50 minutes I took a short five minute walk, and every hour I changed the position of my Varidesk. I was able to focus and made significant progress.
Bottom Line - I plan to keep going with the suggestions and ideas in The One Thing . I believe this will pay huge dividends.
Happy Friday to all,
Steve

This is a great reminder of the huge benefit of effective time management, especially with a hectic schedule. Great job and a very timely post! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Audrey.
It is not exactly a success story but I thought it worth sharing just to show that sometimes, "the best laid plans of mice and men" don't always work out as planned !
