Amazon Sales Beginning - A Few Added Reviews Is All It Took
The Green Bars Are The Sales
I wanted to check in real quick, especially for you beginners wondering whether or not Wealthy Affiliate works. Above is a snapshot of the last month of my Amazon affiliate account. It might not be huge, but I'm pretty dern proud of it.
You can see the long blue bar which was actually my first sale. It was a fishing rod that I wrote a review on. It made page 1 a month or so after publishing and sits there still. The other 2 short blue bars are incidental sales that have nothing to do with fishing. They just came because people clicked my links, then bought something within 24 hours. Amazon cookies last for 24 hours.
Amazon Clicks & Sales
Here's a different snapshot. You can see that the grey lines represent the clicks I'm getting. Those tall blue curves are the last two sales that you see in the first image. My site now gets about 20 - 30 unique visits a day. That's not much but you can still see the results.
I have 7 pages which are mostly just for menu organization. As far as posts I have 31, but the first 6 I didn't really know what I was doing. Hey, I had just started and was as green as they come. 17 posts are reviews and probably 10-12 of those are on google page 1.
Keep Up The Hard Work
I've been at this for a while now and I should have double that amount of posts. I did start a business blog which takes time away from my fishing site. I also work to contribute to my families finances.
On that note, I made a recent change from moving heavy equipment to writing full time. It wasn't an easy change, but my work situation was too unpredictable. Often times I'd be left without work. I already had some success as a freelance writer so I took the plunge.
Perhaps doing it right before Christmas wasn't the best call. It was hard to find work. Things are rolling along quite well now and I haven't had any issues finding work. Wealthy Affiliate put me in a position where I could accomplish all these things. There's still many more successes (and failures) ahead as I'm sure there is for you as well.
Best of wishes. Geoff.
