Nike Said it Best. Just do it.
When it comes to writing, you have to just do it. So many of us get in a funk and make up excuse after excuse as to why we can't write.
"I don't have time."
"I can't think of anything to write about."
"Who's going to read what I write anyway?"
"I'm not very good at writing."
The excuses could go on for days. But, when it comes down to it, you just need to sit down and write, whether you are writing for your website or writing just to write. It's important either way. The more you write, the better you become at writing. And the better you become at it, the easier it will just start to flow and the excuses will start to fade.
I have used these excuses plenty of times myself and decided I need to stop it and just write, damnit. The other night I sat down and made a goal to post two articles to my blog in a week. I had one topic in mind but had no idea where I was going to go with it. I launched SiteContent and started writing. Before I knew it, I had 300 words, and an idea for another post, which I promptly started. I had 200 words done for the second article and knew exactly what else I wanted to include in it. If I wouldn't have just made myself write, I'd probably still be making up excuses as to why I can't write. I now have the next five days off of work so you can bet your butt I will be writing and critiquing and editing and posting my 2 articles for the week, all because I decided to "just do it".

I totally agree with you Lea.
Some people are just scared which I've written about here: Are you terrified of writing?
Sqwee,
You are so right. Writing has been my biggest challenge. Today I spent several hour writing one post for my site. I set weekly goals now and this was one of them. Todays post, a story as part of my site, turned out in the end to be 1492 words. OMG! Its by far the most I have ever written on a post.
You are correct. You just have to sit down and do it. Commit to making it happen an it will.
Thanks Lea!!!
Great post Lea, sometimes it can be hard to get into that writing flow, site content is going to be so helpful.
So true, it is far easier just to do it then to make up excuses as to why you don't have time right now, why you can't do it, etc.
Productivity starts with an action and if you can take consistent action in your online business you are going to have a very bright future ahead of you.
Love this post and great to see you are "just doing it"! Keep up the great work!
Hello Lea
I write for my own pleasure, if others enjoy reading what I write, I consider it a bonus,
I guess that is why I have no problem writing, I do run out of ideas sometimes, and I cannot spell a damn, but that is why there is spell checkers Hahahahahaha, and I write like I talk,
I guess it comes naturally, minding my P's and Q's were never high on my agenda.
If you do not mind me asking, where does Sqwee, come from ?, come on practise your writing skills, explain.!!!
Thanks for sharing your experiences, with us so far.
All the best
Gary
Ps. I am waiting (What is Sqwee)
