Why blogging is vital for businesses?
Well ...
According to Socialmedia ...
Marketers who have prioritized blogging, are 13x more likely to achieve a positive ROI.
I'd say that is a pretty powerful motivator :)
But of course, there is more ...
First and foremost: a blog is a constant source of new information for your target audience.
Secondly ... Marketing is about communicating with your potential clients and your current customers, and the blog is an extremely efficient conversation platform.
As you have already seen, every blog has an in-built commenting system which will help you to communicate more efficiently with your target audience. If you have a blog on your business website, you can sustain an efficient two-way communication channel which will generate many important insights and more importantly, a great amount of invaluable feedbacks from your customers. You can use the commenting system to allow people to have discussions with you about your products and services.
OK, I know what you are thinking right now … You are thinking that ...
“I don’t want somebody to come to my site and say bad or nasty things about me or my business”.
Well, I have bad news for you: if someone is going to say bad or ugly things about your business, they are going to say it anyway, whether they are saying it on your own blog or not. This is a fact.
And hear me out … If they are going to do it somewhere else, you’ll be forced to hunt down all those conversations and negative comments all over the internet to put your side of the story on the record.
If all those criticisms will appear on your own blog, you’ll have the possibility to neutralize them almost instantly by adding your point of view!
As Rodolfo Costa said …
Criticism is just someone else's opinion. It is up to you to choose whether to believe some of it, none of it, or all of it. What you think is what counts.
And here’s the thing: if you have a blog on your business website, you can listen those opinions and you can say what YOU think …
Do you agree?

Hello Zed,
thank you and just want to say that i like your helpful inputs.
I hope you can help me out with my questions. Please. I think you have few ideas?
I am working on the content of my ever first website at the moment. I am trying to hunt down the right words so that one day google or search machines will be able to find my site.
Now the topic and the product I am going to endorse is unfortunately only available in Europe. :( Sadly, not only that:
Their websites do not have an affiliate program. I checked first with amazon, the 2 main products are not listed.
So if people find my website and would like to get the products I am endorsing there through my links how will this action be a win-win situation for me and them?
The products are made in germany and in switzerland.
I will appreciate your thoughts or perhaps a solution idea?
Best regards,
Floria
Thanks for your Feedback Floria!
Honestly, I'm not sure that I really understand your question ...
If they don't have an affiliate program and you can't monetize your promotional efforts it's really hard to create a win-win situation ...
Thanks Zed.
Correct. That is the hurdle. :(
There are available products on Amazon with that niche, but I am not personally convinced.
To monetize my promotional efforts and give true value and successful experience to buyers will be a question I need to get an answer as I go finish my website.
If it is up and going on the web, I hope our WA community could shoot their honest feedback.
Have a great Sunday.
Again, thanks for your prompt reply.
Floria
In this case you might want to check out this one too How to choose a profitable affiliate program If you haven't already :)
⭐️ Blogging has become an extension or rather another spoke as a tool or means of communication on-line versus in-person business interactions -- the days of brick 'n mortar business seem to be going the wayside due to the growth of on-line biz ... check the trends ... or forecasts ... 😊
... was going to say ... ' going the way of the do-do bird...' then thought better of it -- might get mis-quoted! ... lol ...
I agree totally and completely I am so proud of myself to have chosen blogging as my number one way of doing business. You really pumped me up!
Hi Zed,
I am with you on this; how to react on negative comment. I think it's more positive to say your part on the same column rather than delete it. I have seen pro bloggers who responded to not-so-nice comment in professional way. I believe doing it right, will give you more credits in the eyes of other readers. As blogger, we have to expect this to happen.
Thanks for sharing.
:)Joe
I agree to an extent. I believe that it is important to "control" the amount and type of what you are calling negative comments and criticism.
Depending on your particular niche, whatever you may be presenting, you will rely more or less on these comments. I am a blogger, an up and coming affiliate marketer hero. LOL. I am also a consumer and my habits, I feel, are not all that different than anyone else's.
I am looking for something and I come to a site, maybe your site. I might not even have thought any of these negative things, no real reason to not buy. Then in reading these comments, they have planted the seeds of doubt. Again, depending on what it is.
I hope you are seeing my point of view, I totally see yours and that is why I agree to an extent.
You have to feel it out, I have deflected a few comments instead of rejecting them completely. I do understand what you are saying, I also feel that it can be a slippery slope that can cause more harm than good.
So, each person will have to feel that out for themselves and decide how to deal with it.
I agree to an extent :)
Back to square one .... If you simply reject, delete, etc a comment, that opinion will be re-posted, published etc on many other different channels where you can't react ...
Thanks for your feedback!

I like the idea of a blog as a platform for a conversation rather than just a one-way street of information delivery. It seems comments and feedback to blog posts would be a good way to measure several things.
Fro example:
1. is anyone even reading my blog?
2. do they think my blog is valuable to them?
3. do I need to adjust my style or topics?
I also like the idea of encouraging even negative comments. It would communicate to my readers that my blog is a safe place to speak freely without fear of a heated argument. It would give me a chance to engage my readers in a positive way...which would hopefully gain trust and "likeability" from my readers.
Good stuff Zed!

Once again, thanks for your input Jeff!
