The traditional advertising is dead
A few days ago I published a post about AdSense ... More precisely, about why I don't like AdSense ...
And I just realize, that I forgot to mention a very important additional factor ...
So here it is:
According to HubSpot ...
Adblock Plus – the most popular ad blocking browser extension – has been downloaded over 500 million times!
And according to Business Insider ...
There were 615 million devices blocking ads worldwide by the end of 2016!
In other words: people don’t want to see ads. They want useful information.
With content marketing you can help them to get what they want. With AdSense you can't ...
Do you agree?

I wholeheartedly agree.
In fact, I clicked away from a couple of websites over the weekend because I wasn't able to decipher the content from the copious ads.
These ads create an unwanted and unnecessary distraction.
They diminish rather than enhance the content. If they added any value whatsoever to the content they would be somewhat tolerable but they don't.
I much prefer the unobtrusive affiliate links as they convey to the reader you are there to provide a service and information, not just sell something and make money.
Great point.
I dont use Adsense either. Not anymore.
First, I myself hate to see annoying ads on any website i come across to. Secondly, when I requested a website feedback long time ago - I got the same comments - "they hate those google ads and It looks spammy".
So I believe this is really true about your post.

I would agree partly, in reality you can’t really put useful information for free. So Adsense help the website to be always alive. If the website wouldn’t earn there is no point of having it.
Additionally, building a website is not magic, it takes money, time, effort, and creativity so the owner should earn somehow or someway.
