Fascinating information. Love the facts! I am seeing it happen for me for sure :) As always, thank you for sharing!

Thanks for reading Elizabeth!

Yes! It has worked fro me!

Keep pushing :)

Good stuff Zed!
Your posts always provide great value.

I agree with @SAWalden and everyone else that thinks social media adds are Annoying! (Notice the capital ‘A’). ;)

However, I think that if leveraged properly, social media can be a powerful tool in a marketer’s arsenal.

Much like a blog, a group formed (on Facebook for example) that like minded individuals can join and be active in can be a great platform for providing value to your customers. It also is less invasive than an advertisement. Additionally, the people that join your group are there by choice...not by force.

Again, similar to a blog, those types of pages will take some time and diligence to cultivate. But overall, it is my opinion that a business page or group on social media can have better long term sustainability and provide better quality leads.

I do believe there is a time and a place for a ads to a targeted demographic. Many people have had great success using ads.

Statistics do not lie. People use social media in their purchasing decisions. Having an active presence in social media is a necessity in this day and age.

That’s just my opinion on the subject.
I’d love to hear what others think about social media in their marketing strategy.

Have a great day!
Jeff

Thanks for your AWESOME comment Jeff!

You’re welcome! Always glad to be a part of the discussion.

Appreciated!

A group page targeting a specific audience does sound like a much better alternative to the ads that are forced on us however, Facebook antics are almost as annoying!

Now that you have solved the intrusive advertising problem, how about an alternative to Facebook? :-)

Are you suggesting I launch an entirely new social media platform??? LOL wouldn't THAT be something?!

hmmm.....

That would definitely be something!

And why not? Someone should ;-) Maybe team up with Zed!

I'm really not that social :)

I have to agree, being a consumer myself, I tend to have felt that I was safer buying on social media. Not so much today though. But I certainly did and I have purchased my share of impulse or reviewed products.

Thanks for your time and your feeback Nancy!

I have to say I am surprised.

Not that Ecommerce and social media would not be a winning combination but that people actually click on the ads and make a purchase.

As for me, I find those ads annoying. However, since joining WA I see those ads in a more positive light and have a much better understanding of how and why they exist nonetheless, I still find them annoying!

But I'm just one person - and it's good to know not everyone is like me!

After reading your post I see now where my marketing efforts need to be directed...such an eye opener...

I agree ... Ads are annoying ... I hate them :)

But is part of the game ...

WOW! Amazing stats.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for reading Cora!

I probably have to agree weather i like it or not ;)
