Is there a profile for a scammer?

Yes i believe so.

Trying to earn money on the internet has been a costly lesson for me. And offcourse I am mostly to blame for this. Being of a generation before the internet i had no clue what I was going into and what i was doing. Call me naive, maybe stupid, it is all true, and I trusted people. I never thought this would happen to me.

Last year iI was scammed as you may have read on this blog. I still have a lot of feelings around the subject. I'm usually a very careful, thoughtful person about money, why is it that I fell into this trap? Everyday it is here with me, everyday I am thinking about this, I am confronted with a bad money situation, I may have to move, all because of a scam.

You may think , she shouldn't have been so stupid, so naive, at least that's what I'm thinking .And still, I am a victim of a scammer. Why didn't I see it?

Is a scammer a criminal? Yes absolutely so, ruthless and without compassion. Scamming is their goal and to get as much money as possible.

I didn't see it because of his nice personality. ????? Yes, repeating, nice personality

So friendly, so interested in me. And I didn't hear any bells ringing yet. I was in a vulnerable position, i was alone and my husband had recently died. I was worried about my money situation, did I have enough to live on, etc, etc, Being a very private person i didn't want to share this with my children. And here was this nice person who seemed to know all the answers.

Beautiful examples too, from his work, and his charity for disabled children. Now that was a coincidence, I have a daughter that way. Or was it not a coincidence? He worked his ass of he said to work on the charity project and was talking about a lot of money he managed to get for the disabled people. That rang a bell with me, very sympathetic that was.

Here it is, scammers are nice persons!I and offcourse they are not, they only seem to be so. It is a strategy. I was so surprised when found out about this whole strategy.

They will build a realtionship with you, they take their time to talk to you about their children, about my children. They talk about spritual things, they reassure you, they make you believe he is your saviour. You start to believe them. I did anyway.

They must let you believe they are nice persons, which makes sense, otherwise nobody would be scammed!

My scammer made be believe my money problems would be over,

Repeatedly he would say: I am capable of changing your whole life, trust me!He was quite right, he changed my whole life.

This is one of the worst things about scamming, your trust is betrayed and it hurts terribly.

What else did he use? He took me on the phone with him to his house, I heard his children cry, twins he said, and I wondered, why doesn't he pay attention to them. Later I found out it was just a recording, there were no children at all.He just played it to make you believe he has kids. Twins in this case.

His name is Jake Lewis. . A fake name offcourse, I don't know his real name. You will find him nowhere on the internet. Jake is a fabulous trader, wihtin a few days i was close to a 80.000 dollar on my account.

Later we- I am in a group - found out he could manipulate anything, the trades, the expirations, the time, anything.

Jake and I seemed to have a lot in common,, family, children etc

YES

A scammer will Google you, he will look you up on Google to see what your interest are, he will know a lot about you. As i am interested in spirituality he used spiritual quotes that made me think, wow, he really know something about that. He will Google you to see the house where you live . Anything is possible on the internet,

Most off all he will completely squeeze you dry moneywise.

In May I was supposed my money back, I had made a withdrawal request.because finally I had heard the alarmbells. I asked only about the money I had invested, I needed some money badly. I had tried to withdraw before but he always had a story ready why i just had to wait a little longer.

Finally the day was there.I was going to have my investment back...

Not so, on that day I there was only 13 cents left on my account.

I can't describe how I felt when I saw this. Later I found out that It was put into longtrades that I never asked for and 6 weeks later they all expired out of the money.

I am telling this because believe that scammers are very, very dangerous and very clever. if someone is nice and understanding, be warned!

Scamming is a terrible threat on the internet and it's all about money. I had the bad luck to fall into the hands of the worst criminal and I was the perfect victim for him.Jake's history goes back about 10 years on the internet. He is hard to find but there are stories about him..Later i found out that Jake Lewis and his friend David Coleman, the so called lawyer of the firm have a a long history in scamming with lotteries and dating services. They are incredible stories.

If you've read this far, thank you for that, maybe this story will prevent another person to become a victim of the criminal Jake Lewis. If you want too you are very welcome to share this .

The firm though still exists under the name of BSDOPTION making no doubt other victims.

I am so sorry to read about this. Thank you for taking the time to tell your story to alert all of us.

Thank you Drjec for reading, I am happy with all the reactions,Marion

What a heartless thing to do to someone who is so nice and trusting. I hope for retribution.

Hi Marion, yes I hope for retribution also and I know it will take time. This scammers world is not a world I understand and maybe I don't need to. Thank you. Marion

Hate them, and good article, thanks.

Yes, surprisingly I do, I am not a hateful person but now I have this feeling that i would describe as hate...

It isn't your fault, you are not to blame and it is very true these scammers are sophisticated, they'll bleed you dry if they can.

Sorry for the lack of a better word in advance, but I have almost fallen for scammers bullshit on more than one occasion, fortunately, I was quickly able to see through their facade.

I am so so sorry to hear about what you have been through, I only hope there will be some justice for these scum bags, because that's what they are, "SCUM".

Thank you for your honest answer and great that you saw through the mask. what surprised me was that it was so intelligent. Yes I hope they get caught sometime, Marion

I am very sorry this happened to you..These people are professional scammers and will do anything to get your money..I hope you recover from this and are able to trust people again! Take care, Keith

I also was taken, not so much by a scammer, but by an accountant that I trusted back in the 80s. Bad news for him. He is no longer living. But I did NOT get my $250K back. My Uncle was a US Congressman, my Niece worked in the US Attorneys office (Lawyer) and my Cousin was in charge of the Houston FBI Field office. He had NO CHANCE. He was killed mysteriously in Prison.

I was very young and to be truthful, I really did not miss the money. I was just ticked he did that to me.

I feel your pain.

Hi Izpo. It sounds like a movie. And where did the money go?. Did you ever found out? Really bad news for the accountant, he scammed the wrong person and met the wrong family. What a story, thank you for sharing this with me, Marion

Sorry you can not get these scammers in cord, the one who scammed us, we dragged down and we won in cord

Hi Loes, I have a lawyer working on it but it can take a few month she said... so i keep my fingers crossed.

I know, when you have followed my blog you can see it will take longer than a year

I Haven't read your blog yet, sure going to do that now. Really, that long??

Yes, it is dupliek, repliek, dupliek, repliek etc.

yes, not looking forward to it and there are a lot more side-effects than only the money

Sterkte!

I am so sorry to hear what you have been through. These people are heartless, they will use and use you but are so clever, it's difficult to recognise what they are doing. I lost $1,000 worth of writing work to a guy who seemed really plausible and I could kick myself for being taken in by him - what, me, who used to work in a bank? You would think I would know better, but they use your weak points against you and mine was the fact that I needed some money. I hope they get what they deserve in this life, preferably, or if not, certainly in the next one. Take care of yourself - I wish I could help in some way.

Thank you Jude, you help me already by reading my story, You know what is most disturbing? That there are people who take your trust first and then deliberately use it against you. I think i will never understand that, call me naive. I'd rather be naive then,Marion

I've been 'used' by people like this all my life Marion, probably because I am a trusting person. But I am the same as you, I would rather be like me than like those horrible people who use others.

Thank you, Jude my late husband said I was a naive person and it made me angry when he said that but now I believe he was right. My daughter says it is a generation thing and yes, I am sure in earlier times, we could trust people more. then also I have a thing about money, always scared I've not enough. Apparently, what you believe comes true. What happened to me is also a tremendous lesson about myself, also, I have a very good intuition, but do I listen to it or do I overrule it with my mind?
Of course, I had my signs and didn't listen to them, the fear was bigger apparently. thank you so much, Jude I really appreciate what you are saying. Marion

That is terrible and I'm really sorry to hear this.
It saddens me to the core when I hear of this sort of thing.
It is something you have probably done, but, have the police traced this person or persons and accessed this company name and the whereabouts?
Cheers, Tosh :)

\hi, yes we reported it to the British fraud police but that is more a necessity if you take action against them with a lawyer, which we - another woman - and me, did. Now we have to wait, it can take a couple of months. Meanwhile i will do everything i can on the internet to warn people against BSDOPTION, thanks Tosh, Marion

I am sorry to hear what has happened to you. Thank you for sharing your experiemce. There are so many of this particular type of scam out there .. avoid anything to do with Options. Cheers, William

Thank you, William it certainly is a life changing event. I became a whole lot wiser. Marion
