I am struggling with Affiliate Marketing

So I monetized my website around 2 weeks ago. I was pretty excited I must say.

Ofcourse I knew it takes time to make money through the different affiliate programs I signed up for. So I kept creating new posts like every week.

Everytime I post something on my website : http://womenshoesforyou.com/ I make sure I have done extensive research, slot in good keywords here and there and use the 'low hanging fruit' technique which in turn produces quality content. One of my posts got ranked on the first page last week!

However, this does not reflect on the affiliate programs I have signed up for. Like I usually a huge figure on the 'impressions' tab but I always see 0% Coversion and 0$. Could I be doing something wrong? Should I just wait? Or sign up to more affiliate programs?

What do you guys think?

Wishing you the best. Great site! Keep up the good work, it will all come together.

Can anyone help me. I tried to put a affiliate link on my website and I couldn't see it. Runninganddiabetes.com is my website. Please look at it. I just started working on it but I could use some great advice from you guys. Thanks

Hey! When setting up affiliate links, you have to choose whether you want it to appear as a click able link, a HTML code which will come up as an image or banner thing or a widget.
For click able links, just highlight the text you want someone to click on when editing your post on word press eg. 'CLICK HERE' , Then highlight the text, go to the font area on WordPress, You'll see a link button that says 'Insert Link'. Paste your link here then set it to 'Open in New Tab'. After this you'll notice the word you linked is highlighted and underlined. Update your post and go to your post on the website. Your affiliate Link appears as the word 'CLICK HERE' .
I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, I am here to help :)

Great site, love the look, keep up what you're doing. Do you have social media? I don't see any links for sharing, etc. Also, all your posts are uncategorized, you might think of adding that. But just keep building on what you have, try looking at your competitors who are doing well, see what they are doing. Don't copy of course, but use it for inspiration and ideas.

I put the social media plugins to be at the end of every post. Maybe I should make them more visible.
I did try categorizing but I faced challenges because of my theme. Regardless,I'll keep trying. Great advice! Thank you :)

i know what you mean, i had and still do have a big learning curve. I struggled with adding social media links at end of post or more obvious places. I didn't want it to look too spam-ie but there is a balance in there somewhere!

It may not be that you're doing anything wrong! Marketing is fickle..lol It could be traffic related or you could have just chosen a program that's not right for you. Are you using ppc ads? Do you have a YouTube channel? What other methods of monetization are you using? It could be a number of things. You can sign up for as many affiliate programs that you can keep track of, lol. Much Success.

Hi! That makes me think..... I am currently only signed up to 4 affiliate programs and incorporated social media to my website 2 days ago.. so it definitely could be traffic related. I see what you're getting at.. traffic=success. I think I just needed a reboot. Thank you!

Absolutely! Say you have 1,000 visitors, of those visitors only 50 actually click around, may click a few ads, or even make a purchase. Sure you only had those few prospects, but you needed the 1,000 to get the 50. :)

Your blog looks great maybe soften the tones a little. I think you'll do fine. It takes time. Good Luck

Hey Awolin,
Please explain to me what you mean by "soften the tones" :)

Hi. I love your site. I just thought softer colors will make the text stand out more. I am far from an expert so sorry if I made you mad.

No no .....Lol you didn't make me mad... far from it! I am here to be helped and I appreciate everyone's input because it does make an impact. Thank you so much for this. What colors would you suggest? :)

Thank you. Try cream white for the back ground and softer greenish type colors . For every thing else. LOL great site best of luck

Thank you! Best of luck to you too.

I think that must wait and add more content. During this weeks, Jay creates webinars how to create the website with the particular niche. If you will participate in his live webinars, ou can ask questions directly when the session is on. All the best to you here:)

Hey Nemira,
I sure will look him up. Thanks! :)
