What I’ve Learned From Running Three Social Pages, Two Niches, and One Honest Strategy
Hey everyone,
I’ve been wanting to share a little behind-the-scenes look at what I’ve really been building these past few months.
Two websites. Two totally different niches. One simple, honest strategy.
No overnight success stories here — just a lot of quiet days, small wins, and showing up even when it felt like nobody was watching.
It wasn’t always pretty. I made mistakes. I learned a lot.
But somewhere along the way, the momentum started to build — and now it’s finally starting to show across multiple platforms.
This isn’t a brag.
It’s just the real story of what steady work can do when you stick with it.
And today, I’m excited to walk you through it.
"If you're in the middle of building something too — and wondering if it's even working — this one's for you."
It Started With Facebook and Instagram
Before Pinterest even came into the picture I spent the first few months focused fully on Facebook and Instagram. I built two separate communities
One tied to my digital growth page helping others learn how to work from home and build income online
One built around my passion project sharing mysteries legends and the untold stories from the wild unknown
The strategy was simple.
Daily posting.
Scheduled ahead using the free Facebook scheduler to stay consistent
Always real topics. Always real posts people could feel something from
Here is what happened just from staying consistent

Passion Project (Facebook):
- Reach: 124,200 (56% organic)
- Content Interactions: 4,400+
- Watch Time: 3+ hours organic
Passion Project (Instagram):
- Reach: 5,900
- Content Interactions: 3,400+
- Organic Growth: 79% organic

Affiliate Project (Facebook):
- Reach: 39,500
- Content Interactions: 897
- Watch Time: 32 minutes
Affiliate Project (Instagram):
- Reach: 1.7
- Content Interactions: 29
The best part:
Over half the traffic and interactions came purely from organic reach — no ads, no boosts, just honest daily posting that resonated with people. the first month these pages started as hybrids and now has moved in to organic
Then I Carried the Same Plan to Pinterest
After a few months of seeing steady growth I decided to test if the same strategy would work on Pinterest too
No big changes. Just the same simple formula
- Daily posting
- Clean visuals
- Real topics
- Posts I would actually click or save myself
- Scheduled ahead of time so the momentum never broke
And here is what happened in just 30 days
Passion Page

- Impressions: 75.14K
- Engagements: 2.5K
- Outbound Clicks: 38
- Saves: 579
- Total Audience: 27.22K
- Engaged Audience: 1K
✅ All Organic traffic
✅ Steady climb in impressions, strong spike at the end
✅ High Save Rate showing strong content value
✅ Growing engaged audience (great for long-term momentum)
Affiliate Page

- Impressions: 29.53K
- Engagements: 574
- Outbound Clicks: 8
- Saves: 50
- Total Audience: 18.6K
- Engaged Audience: 431
✅ All Organic traffic
✅ Big % Growth especially recently — big upward swing happening
✅ Lower Saves but still solid for an affiliate-focused page
✅ Engaged audience is growing along with impressions (important for conversions later)
All built completely from scratch — now both the Facebook and Instagram started out as hybrids and now I have moved them to organic
The passion page already started earning steady monthly income.
The affiliate page gained its first round of sign-ups and continues to build.
The Core Mindset That Made It Work

The big shift for me was when I stopped thinking like a marketer — and started thinking like a customer.
I asked myself:
- What would I want to click?
- What would I want to save if I saw it out there?
When I carried that mindset onto Pinterest —
The results mirrored what had already been happening on Facebook and Instagram.
Same voice. Same trust. Same daily consistency.
Different platform. Same connection.
Why the Passion Page Took Off Faster

The passion page grew faster because it is real to me.
It is not just another content page. It is built on a lifetime of curiosity and fascination with the unknown
When people click they get exactly what they expect.
No fake headlines. No bait and switch. No endless sales pages
Just real stories real information and real respect for their time
It took almost a year to fully learn how to build that kind of trust but once I figured it out people started coming back. Saving posts. Sharing posts. Trusting the page
Why Both Pages Are Growing
There is no magic trick. Here is what is actually working
- Daily posting even when nobody reacts
- Focused topics no random jumping
- Clean designs people want to save
- Prioritizing trust over hype
- Every post must pass the test: "Would I save this or click this if I saw it"
If the answer is no it get put on the back burner for later.
The Bigger Lesson That Hit Me
I started with two Facebook pages — running ads for the first month just to get things moving. After that, I shifted everything into pure organic growth.
Then I opened two Pinterest accounts and built them completely organically from the start.
If I could build real traction across two Facebook pages, two Instagram pages, and two Pinterest pages in less than 90 days...
what could happen if I stick with it for five years?
That thought changed everything.
This isn’t about chasing fast wins anymore.
It’s about building steady fires that keep burning — long after everyone else burns out.
What is Next: Turning Blogs Into Story-Driven Videos
Now that the foundation is built it is time to open a new chapter
Starting in June I will begin turning my blogs into story-driven videos on YouTube
Bringing the same energy honesty and steady focus into a new format
Same voice
Same trust-first mindset
Same patience to let it grow naturally
And just like with Pinterest I will document the entire process and share what is working and what is not
Final Thoughts: Build It Like a Legacy

You are not just building content
You are not just chasing views
You are building a trail
You are leaving a fire someone might stumble across when they need it most
Some days will be easy
Some days will feel like carrying firewood through a storm
Both days matter
Every honest post
Every real story
Every quiet moment when you choose to keep building even when nobody is cheering
It all adds up
Build it like it is meant to last
Because the real journey is just getting started
Have a great day everyone

You are an excellent writer, Shawn! That's part of the pull :)
I'm going to keep on trying to make it, too. My age and health slow me down a bit, but I have the 'just do it' inside me
Teri.
Teri, that means the world coming from you. Thank you my friend.
Your spirit shines through every word you share, and honestly, age has nothing on the kind of wisdom, strength, and heart you bring to this space.
You’ve got that fire in you, and it shows. Keep going at your pace. The world needs your voice, your story, and your kindness.
I’m cheering you on all the way.
You’re already making it just by showing up like you do.
Shawn
Appreciate it Nick We are all just stacking little wins out here one day at a time. Some days the fire is roaring and some days it is just hanging on but it all counts.
Glad to be in it with you man. Let’s keep making it happen!
Shawn
Great response buddy and sorry for my tardiness in replying to you.... things have been.... well hectic and different the last few weeks! :-)
No worries at all, my friend! Life definitely has a way of keeping us on our toes. Hope everything’s settling down a bit for you. Always great to hear from you!

The Master Plan (in Rhyme)" 🎯
Post each day, no fear, no sweat,
Even when no one's liked it yet.
Tell the truth, no shady spin,
That's the way real trust begins.
Think like your reader, click and save,
Make them feel like you're the brave.
Two clean niches, steady and bright,
No topic-hopping in the night.
Organic first, no ad stampede,
Let roots grow deep — that’s all you need.
Play for years, not viral clout,
That's the way real legends sprout.
Stories, posts, and someday vids,
Building bridges, not quick bids.
So hats off, Shawn, your path is clear —
You’ve cracked the code for a real career! 🏆
Fleeky
Fleeky,
This absolutely made my day.
You put into words everything I have been feeling but could not quite say out loud.
It has been a wild ride learning how to build steady instead of chasing flashes and hearing it laid out like this gives me a whole new kind of fuel to keep going.
Thank you for this truly. I appreciate you more than you know. Hats off to you too for always leading with wisdom and heart.
Let us keep building those bridges.

Interesting post, Shawn. You have great success, I see that you don't use LinkedIn, why is that?
Hey MrWillan,
great question!
Funny enough, LinkedIn was actually where I first started. But being new and not really knowing all the ins and outs, I got my account suspended early on. I’ve been stuck in the validation process for a while now trying to get it back.
Honestly though, between the three platforms I’m running now, I’ve got my hands full! Once LinkedIn is unlocked, I’ll ease into it the right way.
Shawn
Hey MrWillan,
Thank you for sharing that. Twenty five years is seriously impressive. It is always inspiring to hear from someone who has been part of this journey for so long. I truly appreciate you taking the time to reply and share a bit of your story with me.
It reminded me why I wanted to make this post today.
I believe it does not matter what your niche is. It matters what you put into it.
The effort, the heart, and the patience you bring into your work are what build something real.
Laying it all out like this helps not only me stay focused, but hopefully helps others move a little faster too by seeing that there are real people out here putting in the work every day.
I am grateful for all the support and encouragement along the way.
Right now, I am testing a few ads on Pinterest while getting ready for my next big step. I will be launching my YouTube channel in June.
I am also deep into learning how to build full animation videos to help promote my passion page and bring even bigger stories to life.
There is still a lot to learn and a long road ahead, but honestly, I am loving every step of this ride.
Thank you again, good sir. I appreciate you more than you know.
