Hi everyone!

I just read an interesting article on 2015 Google updates and I thought I would share it with all of you.

The Future of SEO and Google’s Search Algorithm in 2015 and Beyond

The next update is on it's way and this one I have been told will deal with sites being mobile friendly.

Here is a site checker, go ahead and see if your site passes the test.

Mobile Friendly Site Checker

If your site did not pass there are options.

Making Non Responsive Themes Mobile and tablet Friendly.

Have fun!

Hi Shawn,
Many thanks for this info.
My site passed the test.
In view of the content of the article, what do we newbies have to do about the "newness" of our sites, not to be "penalized" in terms of ranking ? If we follow all the training given here to the letter, we will be good.... right ??

great tool. I checked all my sites and of course they are mobile friendly because I always use responsive themes. Thanks. Shirley

Perfect, thanks Shawn!

The first time I tried the tool it said it could not find my site (scary) but I hit "dismiss" and tried it again - all good now.

ROCK ON!

Good!

Months ago I wrote the mobile friendly course here on WA, and I checked up my websites then, so how surprised I was, two of my sites where NOT mobile friendly anymore, so folks, check again!

thank you this is very helpful

The thoughts shared by the article seems to be rational. I have a reason to support this. If Google only gives ranking to long staying sites and authority sites only, it is going to create disincentive for the new sites to come up. This is going to affect business of google. So there must be some other criteria that can be met up with new and genuine sites, may be in the form of new, updated and honest content.

I agree :)
