When I checked, I'm on the first page of Bing, but nowhere to be found in Google or Yahoo. Is there any order of which is the main search engine that we should be concentrating

Thank you for those who responded to my question. Was getting a little confused by the search engines and their significance in our articles getting ranked. This has cleared up everything
Shally.

Naturally google has the biggest traffic share, mobile apps tend to be bing it is certainly worth being with all three as cooldad says you can often rank better with the other two, google can take longer in getting on page one,, however it can be done

In 2015, Google controlled about 64% of all organic searches, Bing about 20% and Yahoo 13%, so Google is the most important one in terms of the pure amount of visitors but as Dundon666 just said, it's easier to rank on the first page of Bing or Yahoo because there's less competition.

The advantage of useing other search engines is directing extra traffic to your site with little to no competition.
But google is where you will dorect most of your traffic from.

Google is responsible for more than half of the searches on the internet, so it should be your focus.

What is the importance between google, bing and yahoo?

WA Affiliate Program

I was trying to promote a WA page into my Facebook profile, but Facebook tried to block this because they said my link has a virus. Has anyone else encountered this from Facebo

There has been a lot of talk of this and it has been going on for awhile FB see's WA as an affiliate link and it does not like that, I guess it could be that they want you to pay for their advertising

That could be the problem.Thanks.

That was what Ignorant mentioned too. I have copied and pasted the WA link into the Facebook page, but it still came up the same. Virus. I'm just glad that it's just Facebook not liking affiliate links and that the WA website itself has no virus!
Thank you for all of your answers to clear up this problem. I guess I just have to go through Facebook security check if I want to paste any affiliate links. Life goes on...

Hi Shallyk,
I am so glad to read about someone who has had the experience I have been having over the past 2 or so weeks. On trying to promote WA I get the message that my Computer has a virus and they offer to have it cleaned ... A link is given... which I always refuse. The strange thing is, I have a brand new computer which has a very comprehensive antivirus software.

The first time I was blocked by FB I got my computer scanned and the result came out with no virus, but I am still getting the rejection.

Hello,

Facebook does not like WA links, has something to do with the affiliate link...

I don't think there is a solution, maybe you can try Goog.ly and create a different link to the WA url...
Please let me now if that works?

Grtz,
Bert

Hi Bert,
Thank you for replying. I was able to get through Facebook and finally get the WA link into Facebook. But I had to go through a series of security procedures to do this. I was just wondering if WA website or any WA links have virus issues. That's all.
Thank you.
Shally.

It seems to accept the link if you paste it direct onto your FB page, but gives the virus message if you try to forward the link direct from WA

No, it is not because of a virus, it is because it is the WA affiliate link...
I think Rean his workaround is a good one!
I will remember that solution...
