Remember having this thought process when you were a kid? Or something comparable?

As kids, perspective is in that wonderful world of make-belief; fueling the desire to achieve greatness without the worry of what the reality really is. But of course, most of us in our youth had our parents to protect us from true reality giving us the allowance to dream big without fear with thoughts only hampered by our young age.

After our exit from our educations, whether it be high school or college, we still had to learn more of how the world worked. Many of us entered into the workforce, but in most cases, continued our education to learn more in order to grasp information to guide us in a direction to where experience would follow.

I remember first entering the employment arena, being the new guy that had to do all of the "crap work" that no one else wanted to do, or felt that the task was beneath them. I knew that I had to stick it out for I would be able to move onto bigger and better things as my time and experience went on.

I looked further into the company that I worked for to see there were internal programs that I could take advantage of to advance into a leadership role. I would have to invest time to take advantage of this to gain not only more responsibility, but increase my income.

Enter in a thinking process from an older and more mature mind, now that my time is worth money, should I offer it for free in hopes to make more money in the future?

Here is where we gain our first lessons in "Return On Investment (ROI)."

Now that we have established ourselves as adults, ROI has taken on a new meaning in most cases to where we have distinguished it as a financial term and allowed it to become primarily related to money.

We came here to WA, paying either or monthly or yearly fee, to learn how to turn that fee into a profit to where we can relieve our financial stresses. There is no doubt these stresses can cause a tunnel vision that can spark panic or frustration.

This condition can affect the majority disallowing us to realize that we are really gaining a ROI.

Think about it.......Did you have a clue how to build website?

Any idea of what the difference between a page and a post?

Or how to communicate to the world or capture their attention?

When we graduated from our formal education, we had no guarantee of finding a job. But when we did, regardless of how long it took, we did and became good at it.

You already have an ROI!

You have found a new job.................regardless of how much time it takes.....Be good at it..........Then become great at it!!!

Be Creative and Productive!

Great post Greg thanks. Did you manage to get to play for the Yankees then lol. Xx

I love your post and haven't thought about ROI in this way, thanks.

Talking about ROI, have you seen Bertie lately?

No. I guess in Bertie's case ROI means "running off indiscriminately." LOL!

ROFL! Love it, Greg.

I like your take on ROI, Gregory
