Is your website hosted in Brazil?

If not, added it Google webmaster tools and select Brazil as the country you want to compete in. It makes a difference... Google assumes a site's competition arena is where the site is hosted. If you want to compete everywhere, there's a setting for that (select none). If you want to compete in another country, select that country and Google will push your site in that country.

The drawback of that, it will weaken it in the country it was before the change.

I once had a site where I noticed I got most of my visitors from US (where the site was hosted) and a few from other countries. About 10% of them came from England but they made up a bit over 30% (if memory serves) of the income the site produced.

So, like every smart (greedy) marketer would do, I told Google I want to compete in England.

Prior to the change, I was in the top 3 positions in the US for 8 keywords and none in the UK (had a couple of keywords at the bottom of page 2, some times top of page 3).

Within 3 weeks, I had no keywords on page 1 in the US but had 3 in the UK.

By the way, my site started to appear with a note from Google right after the page title (in the search results): UK.

Go to Google keyword tool. Right below where you enter a keyword for your search, there's Only show closely related ideas. Right below that, there's "more advanced options." One of the options is
Location
Select Brazil.
Next to it, there's Language.
Select Portuguese.

I have no solution to your problem, but I would love to know how you solve it. I never thought about how keyword research is done in other languages but the answer or answers would make an excellent training resource.

Have you used the WA keyword tool to help you find keywords? Click on "Find keywords" from the main menu on the left (or click here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kw_research). Before you start looking for keywords you need to determine who your audience is.

Who will be searching?
What are they searching for?
Why are they searching?
What are you offering them?

Before finding keywords it's important to understand who your target audience is. Once you determine who they are, finding keywords will be quite easy.

Hi! You can use Google Suggest search technique, before where you enter a starting keyword, then letter by letter you go through the alphabet, to show extra keywords and phrases! ;)
