Just completed another training lesson course!
It's not easy going through these trainings but it's worth doing because there are hidden germs in those files.
Some people believe if you want to deprive people of information, prevent them from reading. Isn't it true? If you don't read information will be hidden from you. It takes discipline to read and read up hidden treasures but at the end of the day, you'll be happy you did. That's exactly how I feel just now!
I've learned about the importance of social engagement and how I can use social media to grow my blog and interest. While I don't believe in spending so much time on these platforms, they can really be result oriented aside their time consuming nature! As a mom, I have a lot of things calling for my attention. How do you guys manage your time between your personal jobs; for those working under employers, and your WA ventures?

Hi Sally!
I understand your question. I am still working a part time job, serving as Pres. of my neighborhood HOA and taking care of my household.
You need to have a schedule and (try) to stick to it. It may take you longer to get through the training. You may not reply to every single email, at least not the same day. Don’t let it get you down, you know what you’re capable of, just stick to it. If there is one thing that seems overwhelming ask other members how they dealt with it. Everyone has developed their own tips.
Everything will come together in good time.
All the best.

Hey Sally,
Congrats on your progress!! You are so right about the hidden gems. I like that analogy!!!
Tried and True

That is so true, what you said about reading and information. I love to read, mostly because I want to soak up everything I can. I was just at a local Barnes and Noble last night and realized it's my favorite place to be, because it's like I get high thinking of all the knowledge between those millions of pages in there. It probably sounds silly, but books have a powerful effect on me that nothing else even comes close to. It's like each one is an entire world ready to open up for the reader.
As far as time management goes, I write for a living (big surprise, huh?), so I already work at home and spend my days trying to fight off distractions. The best tool I have at my disposal is a timer that I use to set apart entire blocks of time for different tasks. I write for 25 min, then rest my eyes and brain for 5 min. I keep that up for about 2 hours, then do something entirely different for 30 min to an hour, like exercise, run errands, have lunch, or whatever else needs doing. Then I knock out another couple hours, then another, etc, until I'm done for the day. It's the only way everything has a chance of getting done.
Since I write freelance, I also have to alternate that with blogging and research for my sites. How I divide the time depends on how much freelance work I need to knock out and how behind I am on my sites. It is a challenge, but the timer helps tremendously.

Thanks, Sally! But if it weren't for the timer, I'd be quite terrible at it, lol. My mind wants to jump all over the place, most of the time.
Congratulations on your accomplishments. You're doing well. Just keep hammering at it. Much success.

Hi Sally and congratulations on completing Level 4. We have never involved ourselves with social media and it has been, and still is, the part of WA that we have the most difficulty with. We do recognize its importance and are determined to master it but it is never going to dominate our lives.

Hi Sally
Well done in completing another course .I am amazed at how many of the WA members manage to do so much each day .
Many just love what they are doing so that could be a big reason for their success .\
Regards
David
I have a full time job, a house with yards to mow, kids that are mostly grown but still live at home. Its not easy to balance everything. I try to stay organized. I set goals every day. I read a book about dot journaling and I enjoy it. It gets everything down on paper where I can see it, check it off when it is done, feel good about what I have accomplished, and don't forget the things that may not be in the forefront of my mind.
Time will never be sufficient if not managed well. For me, being here in WA everyday is never a waste of time as I learn something as I do my activities here; be it reading members' blog post, answering questions, blogging or even welcoming new members. If I can't spend an hour, I will do it for 30 minutes. If I don't have 30 minutes, I'll spend at least 15 minutes.
You are progressing well Shalom. Keep it up.
Joe
