I was looking at some of my stats for page speed and while my desktop speed is great, my mobile speed needs help. The suggestions seem to indicate that I could add a plugin tha

You can turn on the XML Sitemaps in the All in One SEO plugin and get rid of the Google XML Sitemaps plugin

Have a look at Smush, as it will optimise images as WebP and also defer them until visible on the screen (lazy loading)

Great suggestions! I do have a couple of questions:

1. I saw that "Enable Sitemap Indexes" was checked...should I also check "Create RSS Sitemaps"?

2. Why did the training recommend I install Google XML sitemaps if I didn't need it?

3. Does Smush also optimize video as I also have taken to embedding videos into my product reviews so that visitors can see the product in action?

4. Are there any other plugins that you have found helpful?

Thanks so much?

All in One SEO didn't used to have XML Sitemaps, but now it does. The training is being updated I believe.

Not sure about videos, I haven't had to use it for that, as I host the videos on YouTube etc, they do all the optimisations that way. The only thing you might want to do is lazy load iframes as well. I'll see if I can dig that plugin out.

Asset Cleanup is a great plugin, as you can reduce the amount of CSS being loaded per page as well

Thanks for that! With all these plugins, will might SiteHealth continue to go down, or is the amount of plugins not that important as long as they are the right ones?

The right plugins are ok. Always check their version, frequency of updates, how many installations and ratings etc.

That's really good to know. I always got worried when they advised against too many plugins, yet couldn't see how I could do without certain ones. Thanks for you help!

Just don't go crazy with plugins and choose wisely :-)

Will do! Thanks! One last question, if I may...I know WA suggests the All In One SEO Pack...I've also heard good things about Yoast SEO...do you have a preference as to which one is better?

This is a whole other topic :-)

All in One SEO is great for 99% of bloggers, as you can pretty much set it and run

Yoast Free add's a lot more features, such as helping with your content creation, by suggesting improvents that you could make per post etc.

Yoast Premium, just like AIO SEO Premium, start to introduce more advanced features, that you can look in to.

I was always a Yoast fan before coming to WA, and had never used AIO SEO previously. However, another member introduced me to Rank Math, which I have seen before, but with them being new, about 3-4 years, I gave it a wide birth. But I have to say, they have come on leaps and bounds in the last 3 years or so.

I now use Rank Math, and I have converted all of my sites, and my client sites over to Rank Math. No more requirements for Pretty Links, no requirement for Product Review to get the Rating Stars, and includes all of the Scheme for Local Businesses as well (not needed for WA really, but it is for clients). Just to name a few.

I think I saw you ask this in chat, and yes, you only have one SEO Plugin installed.

The decision comes down to you, what you want from your website and how good you are with plugins/technical things etc.

Am I able to edit a training I create after it is published? I'm trying to edit it before I publish, but even though I saved all of my pages before adding a new one, it won't l

Yes, you can but you have to go to your domain directly and not through Site Content Ince it published in Site Content its finished. It is always good practise to edit your posts when you learn something new

Hi...sorry, I didn't mean for my own website. I was trying to publish a tutorial for Wealthy Affiliate...I just tried again and even though I pressed "Save and Add A Page" it deletes everything but the first page when I press publish. Can tutorials only have one page?

No, it can have as many pages as you need. Save the first page with two tags and then create page at the end of the tutorial save it and then add two tags. Repeat until it's finished

I feel like I am getting keywords all wrong, especially with my post titles. For example, I am trying to write a post on Balance Trainers. In my research on Jaxxy, I type in "w

Good answers, my friend! You can also enter some of this in the search bar which might direct you to earlier past posts addressing this subject!

Hi, l see you have been answered, hope you came right.

I am no expert , but my opinion is below for what it is worth.

Using your examples :-
The sites that are coming up as "top 5 best balance trainers" , "top balance trainer reviews" I guess are already ranked and rated and trusted by google so using those keywords to compete would give you very little chance.

"What's the best balance trainer" has absolute brilliant stats , so you should use this. The sites that you mention will probably already have similar phrases in their content , which is why they are getting picked up as they are trusted. At the moment, google hasn't identified it as a keyword and therefore thats why the QSR is zero, but the fact that people are searching on it gives you a very solid chance of it being classed as a keyword quite soon and you would very likely to be top ranked very quickly.

Hope that helps

in short, I don't think you are doing anything wrong!

I always use QSR as low as possible and low traffic around 30 or less as advised in the training. I use brainstorm a lot and alphabet soup to find the right mix of words in my title. I think when you go to search you will find the posts that is already ranking and have much more competition.

I just found out I've been doing images all wrong. I am an Amazon Associate and I now realize that I can't take screenshots of product images. My question is this. If I can onl

I use a good featured image related to the topic. That is always easier on my pet site since I can use a cat or dog pic! Then I use the Amazon Text+Image links for each product. That is it. I don't use any other images since images are large and slow down load time and site speed.

Good to know! I'm now taking that into account as I go back and edit everything haha

I just use the sitestripe function when I'm recommending a specific product and stock photos for additional images. To be honest I've started to add less and less images to my content. Here's one about fitness trackers I did some time ago:
https://elderstrength.com/best-fitness-tracker-for-senior-citizens-the-elderly/

This one I used a Fitbit I own, so the picks are my own:
https://elderstrength.com/best-fitbit-for-seniors/

Thanks so much! I've just started the work of redoing my pictures on all my reviews...this should be fun! haha
