Day 3: It Was A ‘Banner’ Day Today
Day 3 turned out to be a much more productive day than day 2 was. And if you haven’t guessed it by now, yes there was some graphics involved. ‘Banner’ Day. Graphics. Get it!!
Anyways, before continuing on, I need to fill you in on something I do after I register a domain name. That I have yet to mentioned here. Immediately after registering the domain name, I then sign up for a Gmail account, Google+ account, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.
The reason for this is that I utilize the domain name I just registered to sign up with those social media outlets so that I can reserve those names. And for the first time, I am about to reveal my new affiliate marketing website. Drum roll please…
Yup, there it is in all it’s glory!! So now, immediately after registering that domain name, I capture the following social media accounts:
So now that I am the official owner of these social media accounts, I had to pretty them up a bit! So the majority of the day was spend purchasing stock photos and designing graphics for logos, banners & headers. Now if you click on any of the links above, you can now view the graphics and banners I created for those accounts. Although the content is still a bit thin.
The last thing I accomplished for the day was to install my favorite Wordpress plugins. Although the default Wordpress install at WA does come with their favorite plugins, I find them a bit outdated and consequently deleted and installed my more current plugins. In case you are curious, my favorite plugin list currently contains:
Google Analytics by Yoast
WordPress SEO by Yoast
Video SEO for WordPress SEO by Yoast
Clicky by Yoast
iThemes Security
LinkTrackr
Easy Social Share
SocialFans Counter
Wp-Insert
NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster
WP-Optimize
If you are unfamiliar with some of these plugins, go ahead and do a Google search for them. However, I do plan on creating some basic setup videos for each of this plugins here on WA. Please leave a comment below on which plugin you would like me to create a video for first.
Before I say goodbye to Day 3 here, I just want to remind you that I am creating a roadmap documenting the steps I am taking in creating my first $1000 month. If you would like to see my roadmap and follow along, just click the following link:
See you in Day 4!
Cheers,
Rudy

NextScripts is a great plugin for content marketing! In what context are you needing to use an API?
API is short for Application Program Interface? Basically, API's are used to interface one program into another program. For instance, if you want to interface your websites comments into Facebook, you would use and setup and API. In what use case are you needing to setup an API?
WOW! Thanks Loes! Definitely was not called for. Looking forward to staying in touch with you.
