My Book Was Released Today Around the World

The long wait is over! My new standalone fantasy romance novel is ON SALE everywhere TODAY! I’m so excited that The Unforgotten World of Ava is being released today with retailers all over the world. I'm still letting it sink in that I am now a published author. :)

The cover photo in this post is a banner that I created for my website, which I learned how to create on a training video here at WA. I want to explain something to all the newer members or the one's that may be sitting on the fence, trying to decide if they should join WA.

Passion with Purpose

I originally joined WA on a whim after reading an ad about creating your own website to start your own affiliate marketing business. I chose the essential oil niche as I whole heartedly believe in essential oil products. (You always should choose a niche you are passionate about, by the way) My essential oil website is now pretty much working for me but if I had not had the tools to get there from WA, I probably would have ended up paying someone else to build my website which is quite costly, or just quit because I didn't understand the process of getting there.

Fear Can Hold You Prisoner

Which leads me to my next subject. By writing posts for my site, I started to grow more confident in my writing abilities and at one point, had mentioned to members on WA that I really would like to write a book. I remember someone saying, "Well why don't you?" I really didn't have an answer on why I couldn't. The biggest reason was FEAR. Fear that I couldn't write. Fear that no one would like my story. Fear from those little voices in my head that said, "Are you crazy?" You can't do this. Fear of rejection. Fear of my family and people close to me judging me on writing a romance novel...and on and on and on.

Build It and They Will Come

Well, I started researching the how to's of writing a book and what do you know?...I found that writers/authors should have an author website where people can learn more about you, your work, etc, and the fact that it's important for authors to have a blog. Hey, I know how to build a website and I know how to use WA to set up my blog posts! Perfect! I started building my website slowly, unsure of what to have on there and looked at what some other authors were doing. Not just that, but I have became really comfortable with adding and creating new ads for my site, blog posts and even formatted a newsletter that people could join. Would I have been capable of this without WA? I don't believe so.

WA has not just given me the tools to be out there in an online world, but the confidence in knowing that I can create anything I put my mind to. If you're going to succeed with an online business, an online presence is a must. That, plus the support of a wonderful community here is key, knowing that I can ask a question or for some advice, and there is always someone out there that responds or offers assistance. It's like having a family around that has your back, although this family is spread out all around the world, which I find so fascinating, as I have never felt alone on this journey.

Believe You Can

And...now here I am with the launch of my new book. It's a beautiful feeling and a great sense of accomplishment, not just with the book but for everything I've learned here. If you want to know more about my book, you can go to any retailer and type in the title. My author website is also listed in my profile here at WA for anyone to view. So, to sum it up, yes, WA gives you the key to success. You just have to unlock the door and walk inside. It all starts with you and your mindset. Believe you can do it and don't let fear hold you back. :)
