Tik Tok 101 - Essentials Creating Content
The getting started phase is over, and it is time to get to know the essentials needed for creating great content on Tik Tok. Before we "dig" into the brief guide, keep the following advice in mind:
"Keep It Simple!"
Creating videos on Tik Tok may seem easy and simple, but there are several elements that need to play together to make your video good.
Three bullet points describe the videos and what you should think of when creating your videos:
- Quick to the point
- Visually Stimulating i.e. interesting
- Videos are created by real people
Best Practices
Film in full screen, vertical format. The landscape mode will not work well on Tik Tok.
Take care of framing and spacing. Center your image and make sure it is not covered by any of the icons on the screen.
The Hook, Story, Offer sequence is important on Tik Tok videos as they are for your blog post. Catch the viewers' attention during the first seconds, with a strong opening. It will reduce the risk of the viewer "swiping your away" for the next video on their "for your page."
Don´t be worried about the production quality of your video. It is the content that matters. Using only your cell-phone works great.
Sound, Story and Detail or Hook, Story, Offer
Songs and sounds are an important weapon to use in the Tik Tok arsenal. There is a vast library to choose from. It is advised to use the recommended sounds, that Tik Tok propose you to use. Take the advice, you don´t need to, but it will help you to get more viewers'.
Storytelling is at the heart of Tik Tok as it is in all we do as affiliate marketers. Without a story, you will not grab your audience's attention as goes for your articles on your website.
Have a beginning, a middle part and an ending.
A good story in your Tik Tok video will keep your viewers' until the end, even if it is only 15 seconds.
The details of the video play a big part in how successful your video will be. Be congruent with the description of the video in relation to the video itself, use relevant hashtags and cover label. Make it easy to understands what your video is about, or keeping the suspense to an offer you might have.
The next article will discuss the use of camera and camera tricks.😃
Have a great storytelling day!

Thank you, Phil, appreciate the encouragement. It is a great way of learning a new platform and share with others while I am learning.

Sharing is caring, Joyce. I have a lot of tasks to complete this evening, three Tik Toks and completing a new funnel + 30 minutes of blogging on my next article for my website🤩😃

Always good advice. I am still trying to figure out how to add to my bio, but I am enjoying learning the platform.
Thank you, Jim. What in detail are you struggling with regarding your bio?
Roy
When I click on "no bio" nothing happens so I have no bio.
I have never seen a "no bio" field any place in Tik Tok, hmmm.
Go to the "me" icon at the bottom right-hand side and click, you come to the page where your profile picture is, with the number of following, followers and likes are just below your picture, beneath that again you will see a white button with the text "edit profile",
In the middle of the page that appears there should be a field called "Bio", click on it and write a short description, and that´s it.
Roy
Thanks
I hope it works out for you, Jim :-D
