WA Membership- Are You Using It Or Losing It!
After reading Roy's excellent blog post from yesterday, which had some excellent points, I felt inspired to write this post. My post is entitled; "WA Membership- Are You Using It Or Losing It!"

First of all, just looking at Roy's blog cover picture, which says it all; "a platform designed for all levels of affiliate marketers"!
We all come from different backgrounds and have different levels of knowledge. Some of us are more educated than others! The great thing is Wealthy Affiliate is designed for all levels of affiliate marketers, whether we are a beginner or experienced marketer.
I started researching Internet marketing back in 2004; it took me three years to get a money-making website up and running! If only I had never known about the Wealthy Affiliate platform back then, it would have saved me literally thousands of pounds! I could probably almost reached the same level of knowledge within 2 to 3 months rather than three years if I had the correct training rather than working blind.
Don't Take Wealthy Affiliate For Granted!
On one of the Wealthy Affiliate landing pages, there is the phrase;
"You've Got Full Access to the Most Powerful Online Business Building Community in the World!"
The above quote is so true, we have a training platform that w would take us through from start to end. The platform is suitable for all levels of Internet marketers, let's take advantage of the great features.
I know when someone is going to potentially fail at Wealthy Affiliate when I hear comments like:
I didn't know I had to purchase a domain. (You need to invest money to grow any business!)
The training doesn't work! (But you only signed up two days ago!) Yes, I've seen that many times!
I've been here three days and I don't understand how we get paid!
I don't have time to start an online business. (But you watch three or four hours of television every day!)
I've been at Wealthy Affiliate one year and I haven't made any money! (But you've only written seven blog posts in 12 months!)
You spend all the time on Wealthy Affiliate and don't make a penny online! (It's great to spend time on this platform, however, our priority has to be creating content for our websites.)
I'm now an Ambassador at Wealthy Affiliate! (But you haven't made any money online!)
Let's Make The Most Of What We Have!
There are many times when I carry out a search within the Wealthy Affiliate platform to find out how to carry out a particular task. Nine times out of 10 I will find out exactly what I need.
I have used the training at Wealthy Affiliate to promote my offline business. Remember that the training can be used in many different ways, we can also use the rinse and repeat process over and over again.

Roy, a really good post to help us focus on what is most important at WA.
For me, the training, live classes and community support are invaluable.

I agree with you Cassi, the community support is excellent! I remember when I first started online, I really felt I was out there on my own! I had no support and no one to ask any questions, the community takes all that away!
The training is excellent, I'm also enjoying the premium plus classes, in other words, I am getting great value. I must admit that I haven't seen any live classes due to the UK time difference. I've always said that one day I will tune in to one of Jay's classes live!

Yes, the time difference does make the live classes a bit of a challenge.
Even for me sometimes, having to sit in on training at the end of a long day is tough.
The replays are always welcomed.

Hi Roy, I also wasted several years working blind before finding Wealthy Affiliate. I'd made the all too common mistake of chasing shiny objects! The training and classes here are definitely worth every penny. In addition, the give and take blog comments are great, and as a result have been getting comments outside of WA as well. Just goes to prove it encourages engagement

I can really relate to your first two sentences, Kathy! I was kind of chasing shiny objects but at the same time, I could see the power of the Internet and I was desperate to put things into action. Most of the difficulties were due to the fact that I didn't know what was real and worked and what was a spam product! In other words, I was working blind!
I agree with you, the training and classes are excellent. Thank you for the reminder regarding comments, something that I probably need to utilise more on my blogs.

Not as much as I would have hoped but sufficient enough to get by.
Which features I like - hosting and site suport, and the community- the fact that you can ask a question even if others might have asked before if you cant find it after searching is perhaps the greatest aspect I have loved as of yet. Great indeed 👍
I understand Chris, there are so many features, it's almost impossible to get the full benefits!
I must admit the hosting is certainly not bad, I do use a dedicated server now for some of my sites. However, the hosting is definitely very good for shared hosting.
I found that site support are pretty good when you ask a very straightforward question. However, when it gets a bit more deep and technical, site support struggles more.
I agree, the question feature is excellent, not only can we learn from this feature but also other members too.

I hear you on the site support bit. I think we probably give them more than they signed up for. I have asked questions not anywhere related to site hosting- and I am definitely not the only one. At times they even look for posts and trainings that help members solve their questions and many more of su- therein lie the pitfalls.

Great post and some of the things that people have said made me laugh. Finding the balance is important.
It is hard for me to say what feature I find most useful. I've learned so much from reading blogs, interacting with the people in the community, searching out training to answer my questions, or taking advantage of Live Chat, Asking a Question, or Site support. Jaxxy is a great tool too but there is a learning curve in knowing how to use it effectively.
I'm sure I am not getting all the benefits out of WA, but I think I've made a good effort. I had a slow start, though. But I think I'm finally on track!

There are definitely many great features here at Wealthy Affiliate. For your interest, I have been here nearly seven years and every now and then, I still find features that I didn't know existed! Everything takes time!
I must admit I really use live chat; maybe it's something that I need to use more. I guess it's a great way of interacting with members. The problem I have found is that you respond to someone they have probably left or haven't seen your message. This works both ways! I also find live chat a bit time-consuming. That's just me; I'm sure many members find it really beneficial and helpful.

I don't doubt that after seven years someone would still find a new feature. When I first joined, I was completely overwhelmed.
I don't use Live Chat to socialize, but I can see many do. I use it to get a question answered. I've found some really helpful people there, but maybe I am using it wrong. I hadn't thought of that.

Yes, it's amazing how many features there are on Wealthy Affiliate. I had been at a smaller membership site before joining Wealthy Affiliate and it certainly took some time to get my head around everything when I joined WA!
Do you know Lynn, I think there are many different ways of using certain features at Wealthy Affiliate. I believe we have to discover what we are comfortable with and what works best for each individual. I hadn't thought about using live chat to answer a question, however, that's actually a good idea!

I find my answers for the most part at WA. I find them either in the community posts or tutorials, or I find them in the classes and/or OEC /Bootcamp.
There are a few times I am not able to find answers to my questions on WA and have to find them elsewhere.
But the centre hub of my affiliate marketing is and will be WA in the foreseeable future.
I use "outside" resources to spice up my affiliate marketing activities.

Yes, I hear you, most of their answers can be found on the Wealthy Affiliate platform, it's so good to have everything in one place!
I agree there are occasions when we need to look further, but not that many! I'm privileged to have an excellent Webmaster who is full of knowledge on the subject which is really helpful.
I like the idea that the training on Wealthy Affiliate is genuine. I remember when I first started out in 2004, I was just working so blind, I didn't know what worked and what didn't work! The value of having accurate information is so important.
