Do You Use Grammarly Professional?

I was just wondering how many people use grammarly professional and if it's worth the upgrade fee? I use the free version of Grammarly and it doesn't get everything right by a long way and in some ways I can understand this as I'm sure the professional version isn't perfect.

I believe the paid version of Grammarly has much more functionality and I just wondered what people's personal experience was with Grammarly professional and if it really is worth the upgrade fee?

Have a good weekend and thank you for reading.

I don't use grammarly at all. I ALWAYS got straight "A's" & 4.0 GPA in school, so its not useful for me. A good word processing software with the spelling and grammar check turned on is enough for me. However, I will ask other people to read what I have written and give opinion or suggestions. That's just good S.O.P. for writing of any kind.
Hope this helps. Blessings...

Likewise, Terry!
And every time I go on to YouTube and am forced to sit through a Grammarly ad before I get to watch the video I want to see I get the urge to throw my laptop out of the window!
Cheers
Rich :-)

Thanks for your reply Rich, I hear what you are saying about the Grammarly advert on YouTube, it does appear rather often!

Enjoy your day.

Roy

Hello Terry,

Now, this is the best way, no cost, just straightforward writing that's a good gift to have.

Thank you for commenting, it's an interesting thread.

Wishing you all the best.

Hi

I am using premium grammarly for two years and couldnt be happier. Its an amazing tool with more to offer than just grammar. For example I use it to find synonyms for words, check the readability, set the tone and type of the text.

In all honesty, everyone who has english as second language or more would definitely benefit from grammarly.

Drop me a message if there is anything in particular you want to know.

Eugen

Hello Eugen,

Thank you for the information, English is my first language. However, I want to use Dragon more for better writing, so what you are saying is really helpful!

Wishing all the best.

Roy

Join the crowd. I am a lawyer spick more than one language and dyslectic and in top of that, I have depended all my professional life on my secretary. Today Grammarly is my never-ending company

Hello Rafale,

That's good, it sounds like it's worked for you, thank you for commenting, it's appreciated!

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

I use the paid version. My grammar is not that great. Also I think faster than I type, so grammarly has me covered there as well.

Hello Jagi,

I'm sure if your grammar is not brilliant then Grammarly must be extremely helpful, I like to use it more punctuation and hopefully writing better.

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

Good Morning Roy,

As English is not my mother tongue I use the normal Grammarly. I am quite hopeless in grammar and writing. That has been always the case with the 6 languages I learned of which I still write and speak 4. When I was small, going to school in Holland I was "word blind" nowadays it is called dyslexia but one can live with it.
I would not be able to write for my websites without Grammarly but we do not always agree, you still have to use your brain.

Have a great weekend, Taetske

Hello Taetske,

That is absolutely amazing that you can speak so many languages Taetske, it really is an achievement! I appreciate how difficult languages can be, as my wife is from Greece and learning a few Greek words is difficult for me, I can't imagine how difficult it must be to speak several languages. I admire anyone who can achieve this.

I hear you, Grammarly doesn't always get it right and you do have to use your brain as you mention.

It's an interesting thread.

Wishing you all the best Taetske.

I've heard good things about Grammarly I'm waiting to see the answers you'll have. I may also start.

Ingrid

Hello Ingrid,

I've heard good things to about Grammarly, I'm interested to hear about other people's experience. Look out for the special offers, I receive them regularly.

Enjoy your day,

Roy

Roy, I don't use the professional version. I use a program called ProWritingAid. It's very comprehensive, was a one-time buy, and works in Word, and as a browser extension in Chrome.

Hello David,

This is something that I haven't heard of, I do like the idea of a one-time fee, I probably ought to take a look. Grammarly certainly advertise heavily and regularly send me special offers, I'm tempted!

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

Look at these 2 images from Word where the program is installed.

I use the free version.

Having pretty good grammar, I mainly depend on my own writing abilities. I only use Grammarly as a backup.

You've got me curious though, so I will follow this thread.

Scott

Hello Scott,

Thank you for reading my blog post. My spelling is quite good but I'm not that good at always writing in the same tense, I wondered if Grammarly may help me with this aspect.

They certainly heavily advertise, often I see a Grammarly advert when I watch YouTube, I also receive their special offers regularly.

It's an interesting thread.

Roy

Great question. I use the free looking forward to responses.

Thanks for your reply Mick, I have been using the free version for several years and I see multiple ads for me to upgrade!

Enjoy your day,

Roy

I'm wondering the same thing!
