Want to throw in the towel

It's been many moons now since I started the Wealthy Affiliate journey and I've reached a stage in the journey where the money for the trip is running low.

I buy a ticket every month for around $35 from a passing "ship" and off I go again. Fellow passing "sailors" keep shouting out to me that I need to persevere and that , "You haven't got far to go now, keep going." They have been saying that for a while now. Where is this "port?" or bay where I can sell my wares?

Suppose I need some reassurance here. Are there folk out there who have honestly made Wealthy Affiliate work for them? Because if there are, I must be doing something wrong. Our sites need to offer folk something of value, I get that. I think mine does. But there is every possible chance that I'm the only one to think this way !

Are there others who like me have reached a point somewhere along the line where they have thought about throwing in the towel ? That would be such a shame in my case especially after so many happy months spent building this website.

Would love to hear your thoughts on Throwing In The Towel.

Hi Roy,
You have some folks in the WA Community with some great experiences and great advice for you.

Sue and I have been with WA for over 2 years and our monetary gain has not been very high.

I feel my growth in maturity and communicating better has grown exceedingly well which I value more then anything right now. The monetary side will be coming, this I am sure of, because I am just going to bear down a little harder.

Remember: "You are never a failure until you quit".

Well said, Bill

Roy...You've been here since March...come on! You're going to throw in the towel after only 6 months?
Kyle says this is not a get rich over night deal you sign up for but an educational trip learning how to design a website that Google deems an authority in your chosen niche. That doesn't happen over night either.
I joined WA in 2015 and told myself, if my site isn't profitable in 3 years, it's just a hobby. I've got a little over 1 1/2 years to go before I think about throwing in the towel.
You don't have your site listed on your profile...I'd love to check it out.
Best wishes in whatever you decide.
Karen

I see some people say this from time to time, and if you listen to someone with the same experience you could come to a particular conclusion...but some people certainly are making it, some people who started in January had 40 referrals by August, do the math, while others can't get 1, and then other people certainly are cruising in here for free with the commission from two referrals

it's probably not about throwing in the towel but thinking outside the box...

and ask if your heart is in it, if it is then believe in yourself...

Thanks for your thoughts.

These are the moments that make or break you. Honestly.

I have had those moments, but I made myself a promise that I would continue until I succeed. Well, it has taken a long time, but my traffic is growing, and things are looking up. I fully believe that it is a matter of time. I also feel that one of the biggest-- if not THE biggest-- factors in determining your success is perseverance.

If you find that your site is not performing well, get more people to look at it and offer feedback. Maybe you are missing something. Maybe you just need a few tweaks. Maybe you could look at other ways to draw traffic.

There is always something to be done, but that never includes giving up.

You can do this!

Thanks , Craig.

MMMMmmm .... Thank you !
