I hit 3 milestones today!
Shared joy is a double joy...
Today I have 3 good reasons to share the joy with you!
And hopefully with this post I can inspire you to grow your online influence too. It's a lot of fun!
1) I hit 30,000 Followers on TikTok!
This is nice because yesterday I published a short 15-second video on TikTok asking my followers,
"Have a guess: On which platform I'll reach 30,000 followers first: YouTube or TikTok?"
Yesterday I had 29,100 followers on TikTok and 29,400 on YouTube.
Then I got over 1,000 followers on TikTok within a day!
If I'd continue at this pace, the 100,000 followers milestone would be possible before the end of the year.
TikTok shows your content primarily in the country where your phone's SIM card has been registered. Therefore, people in Finland see my content first.
I didn't know this when I started on TikTok and my plan was to create only videos in English. However, I learned that the app shows my videos primarily to Finnish people because my SIM card has been registered there.
At some point, I created a few videos in Finnish and it got much better engagement because people understood it better.
That's why most of my new content on TikTok is at the moment in Finnish.
The most followed Finnish TikToker has probably around 170k followers.
There's a certain limit because there aren't millions of TikTok users who understand Finnish unlike there are English users. Perhaps in the future, I'll be creating more English videos but let me get first all Finnish people to follow me on that app ;) hehe
2) I am 10,000 Days Old! ;)
Many people celebrate when they are 20, 30, 40, 50, etc. years old. But that happens at least 8 times for most people during their lives.
However, you only hit 5-figures only 3 times maximum.
And today I hit 5-figures for the first time! :D
3) I Hit 1,000,000 Likes on TikTok
TikTok shows you how many times your videos have been liked on total (see the picture below):
A million is a big number...
It's nice to know that I've been able to create content that people have liked even one million times. It's hard to comprehend such a big number but I'm happy for that and I hope my videos have been able to make some positive impact on people.
The biggest value in life is in my opinion is to impact other people in a positive way and I believe that I can use TikTok as a great channel for that.

I probably won't go to a restaurant because corona cases are skyrocketing here in Budapest.
There were less than 5 new cases per day when I came here 40 days ago and now there are 100 times more cases every day. Almost 500 new cases per day. That's an insane pace of growth!
So I'm looking forward to hearing your ideas on how to celebrate these 3 milestones today or this weekend!

PS. One interesting insight regarding TikTok is that your views don't grow usually exponentially as they may grow on YouTube.
When I had less than 5 followers, I had once around 1 million views in a day and that's still my record for views per day.
Overall, your number of followers obviously affects positively in your views but that's not exponential growth at all unlike on some other platforms.
PPS. I'm already reaching soon 30,000 subscribers on YouTube. That's also exciting because then YouTube allows you to enable YouTube membership for your channel and I'm gonna research closer how that works in practice!

That's great news, well done Roope, I know you have been working hard! I don't know much about tick-tock, however, I didn't realise it was based on where your Sim card is registered, that's interesting.
I can't beat you on YouTube subscribers or Tik Tok subscribers, but I can on days alive! I'm just above the 20,000 mark!!
I wouldn't take too much notice of the coronavirus cases as in many places the figures are highly exaggerated. In the UK we stand more chance of being knocked down by a car then dying from Covid! However, the mainstream media doesn't want you to know that! The more people are tested the more cases will show, in most cases the human immune system will deal with this.
I would celebrate Roope by looking back at how you started online, where you came from, how you have helped others, how you are still inspiring others and being thankful that this is just the beginning!

Excellent job Roope. You are doing really well. It is encouraging to know success is out there.
Personally, I would celebrate with a fine meal and a good book given the times - the meal would have to be ordered in and the book would be in an online reader.
But that is just me.

Well, a little bit tricky with the limited choices due to the lockdown. Maybe, you could make a TikTok or YouTube video about it. Also have a virtual party with your family and friends?
I haven't tried the Tiktok yet. Could you teach us some basics here please? :-)

If the weather is good in Budapest tonight, celebrate by going outside on the famous old bridge and take in the evening air and city lights.
Soon I will push my YouTube channel and make a TikTok channel for this, but now I am working on putting more content on my websites.

Congratulations, Roope! Do you need 30,000 subscribers on YouTube to enable YouTube Membership? That is a lot of subscribers! I suggested in one of Kyle's trainings on YouTube Marketing if we could share our YouTube channel so we can get subscriptions from our WAers', if we do that you will also get your target number!
