If you want Feedback then be open to making changes.
So I've had a few conversations with other member on WA and also with a few people at local networking events that I participate in. The funny thing is that there are some people that actually think that either creating a website or opening a business will be enough to be successful.
They simply don't understand that setting up a website or business is only the very first step. Then the hard work really begins because you have to get people either to your website or your business. Once they are there you have to retain their interest and hopefully eventually make a sale. One way to bring improvements to any business is to be open to feedback and actually making changes to improve the customers experience. Sometimes that means more work and also rethinking your strategy and implementing new ideas etc.
I've visited several websites from fellow WA members (they asked me to review them and give feedback) and quite a few of them had only a couple of articles/blog posts even though they've had the site up for several month and some for over a year. Yet when you try to explain to them that they need to be consistent with their posts, and offer more content. Most are not happy to hear this. When i ask for feedback I'm open to what others have to say and I believe that making changes will only benefit me in the end.
Sorry just venting that someone asks for advice, opinion or feedback and then they are unhappy to hear the truth and take it out on you. If you don't want an honest opinion then don't ask for it. And mind you the feedback I gave was very diplomatic and I verbalized my opinion in very nice ways.
So if you want to grow your business and improve your traffic and retention rate be open to criticism, learn from it and try to implement changes that will benefit your site/business.

I agree 100%. Part of the problem is the scammers out there who have convinced people that they can cut/paste their way to success.
I guess some people don't like the truth and really want to believe that you can become rich overnight. Hard work is the way to make money. Thanks for your input and have a great day.

Hahaha Paula .. I get this all day long in my "real job" .. people asking for feedback on what they are doing or how to handle certain situations .. but they mostly don't really want to hear. My thinking is that they are really asking "Please validate me". They confuse "themselves" with "what they are doing" and take feedback as a reflection on "themselves" rather than on "what they are doing". Excuse my rant .. lol. Love your post. Cheers, William.
William I totally agree, but personally when I ask for feedback I want to hear peoples opinions because that is the only way to improve on whatever it is I'm doing. With the internet out there I would think that people would do their research and come to the conclusion that without hard work there is no rewards of fat pay check.
