Hi Folks
I have just welcomed five new followers (4 women and 1 man). This is just a guess but I would wager that I have way more female followers than male. Why is this I have asked myself on more than one occasion?
Well purely from a personal point of view and through many years working online I have noticed a gradual increase of women who want financial independence.
Many of these women will be happily married with a husband who is a good provider.
Many of these women will have had a job of their own before marriage. They could have decided to start a family right away. This being so they would no longer have an income to call their own.
Then along came the internet and that has changed everything. There are many jobs that women can make money from at home. Even single parents, moms with no husband or partner to bring home the bacon can work from home.
When you browse the internet “Home Based Business For Women” or Stay At Home Moms Work From Home are the usual ways that many programs are advertised. This is because women want to contribute to the family income and still stay at home with the children. With a home based business, women not only make money, but they save on the child care expenses, which can be quite costly. Therefore working from home would be a woman's ideal job.
There is really no difference in a home based business for women than for men though. In today’s world both men and women can do anything they want. Any home based business for women is a business that women will like to do and can do well.
Therefore what would you consider to be a womens home based business?
Sewing, knitting, arranging parties for selling makeup or cookware. Yes these are some examples of good ideas for a home based business for women. Women can also work at home as travel agents and enjoy good salaries and big travel discounts. They can be virtual assistants and writers for website content or sell their own products online.
Also since women are usually savvy shoppers, they know what other women are looking for when they go shopping. The Internet has brought us a whole new shopping experience. We can sit back at home and shop at designer stores all over the country and indeed the world. Ideas for a home based business for women do have to include selling online or at least an affiliate program leading women customers to stores where they can easily find what they want to buy.
Selling children’s clothing online or hard to find women's sizes in clothing – these are two examples of a profitable home based business for women. Even though some might think its a women’s home based business men can also have this type of business. Customers who shop online don’t really care whether men or women own the site as long as they can get what they need at an affordable price.
When you think about using an idea for a home based business for women, you should also compare the costs involved in starting a regular business that you operate out of your home with that of a women’s home based business operating on the Internet.
Whichever type of home based business for women they choose, they will still have to work at it to make it profitable. However, it doesn’t take as much work or as high an investment to realize profits from an Internet home based business.
Ultimately, any home based business for women comes down to the individual. What does she like to do? What does she want to do? What will her circumstances allow her to do?
Well ladies, have you found a way to make money from the internet with something that is usually looked on as being 'Women's Territory'.

Changed days since my mother worked that's for sure.
My two daughters have their own online business.
One with wedding planning and they other new baby products.
Both doing quite well.

There is a woman I know who has a small business doing plus-size clothes for women. She is doing quite well.
There's always a niche Kevin, you just have to dig deep and at the end of the day it will always be down to supply and demand.

Great pic! Working from home even outs the playing field when it comes to success. No false barriers on how much we can make...no judging our performance based on looks etc. For moms...anything related to kids would be a good niche for Affiliate marketing. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

When it comes to purchases, women often have the final say in the home. So it would make sense that they have become more active in owning businesses based at home

That's the truth Robert about bread earners as of these days. Even in the offline world, a greater number of women are active and more responsive to family needs. So it follows in the online world.

I went to a writers conference at the iconic Writer's Digest in 2015 Robert and estimated 2/3 women present. That holds for other venues I've attended as well! Same thing holds for many novels you will find.
I have seen the same attendance figures at forums/meetings I've attended as well Mike.
Its a sign of the times and the number will only increase.

Women can do any business they want.
My mom started a construction company in 1974 at the age of 64. 1974 was a recession year. And not just small potatoes.

Good on your old mom.
My own mother worked all her life and raised 7 kids into the bargain.
She also made sure all her kids worked for their keep as she used to call it lol.
Lesson learned as kids tend to stick with you all the way through into your adult life.
Its a good bet that's why I'm still working today and I was 68 yesterday.
Onwards and Upwards as they say and never say never coz anything is possible if you work at it hard enough.

Happy birthday! My 68th is next month.
I've worked since I was 13. First job was picking strawberries commercially in Oregon. It's why I don't like to eat strawberries to this day. It reminds of the days bent over in the hot sun.
My kids tried that, they lasted a day coz they were too sick to go back out (eating more than they picked lol)
