Wish I had Known Earlier.
Having spent many hours the other week posting the affiliate disclosures on all posts and the mail disclosure page in either the footer or header, then spending time entering Amazon links as a probational associate, And the reason I did this was because nearly all the affiliate program suggestions, when clicked led back to Amazon.
I think I am going along nicely until I posted about looking for Amazon banners etc, which you cannot have access to, I found out until you have been approved after your probation period, which includes a minimum of 3 sales.
When you have met your sales target of 3 sales in your first 180 days, Amazon will inspect your site before they give their final approval.
It was also pointed out to me that you must have specific words of affiliate disclosures which don't match the ones provided in the training.
So I have just spent another load of hours changing out the disclosures.

My next "adventure" has been my introduction to "All in one SEO" , so I thought while changing out the affiliate disclosures, I would tackle some of the recommendations, which are real and very positive. When you have figured out how they work and how and what changes things towards their recommendations. I have learnt terms for English I had never heard of before, and I can tell you my buddy AI was very helpful here and took the time to explain, haha.
My conclusion is that I wish I had known about All In One SEO much, much earlier as it seems to be a great tool. Even though it made me feel a real"tool" to begin with.
The time all of this consumes just amazes me. Perhaps a few pointers in the training could help with the Amazon journey and save a few of us a lot of work.

Frank, I wouldn't quite go that far! haha because the more I do the more I am hearing, today's tidbit, besides Diane's revelations, that the all in one SEO is based on standards from 2018 for SEO classification etc, I haven't had chance to follow up on that yet to see if there has been any updates to the whole widget. I didn't have much hair left before, even less now!

I wouldn’t be concerned about that. These SEO plugins essentially provide you with a list of things to remember to do, like meta-title, meta-description, internal link, etc.
One SEO plugin is as good as another unless you’re an advanced user.

So you have two SEO plugins now - The SEO Framework and All in one? I was under the impression that 2 plugins of the same kind might conflict. Why is All in One better? Thanks!

I deleted the standard SEO, and personally, now I have nearly got the hang of it, I say its far better, I have kept the standard SEO on my other site for now so I can feel the difference when I switch back to that site soon. its only negative I have found is its partner software promotions, but I can live with that.

An update, evidently All in one SEO is based on 2018 standards, I have not had chance to research where the onboard SEO and this one fall but I will get to it later.

Perhaps, it should be pointed out, nearly 5 years down the line, that there should be somewhere within the training were the "official" Amazon disclaimer is provided (I think it's time!!!!!).
Plus, I'd be inclined to tell Robbie that "recommendations" by AIO SEO are just that "recommendations", typically in line with pre-2018 SEO, and won't actually make any difference to a website's SEO in 2024...
But, then again, who am I to talk 🤣🤣

There is a separate section in the disclosure page for Amazon, but it seems to be irrelevant, but there is certainly not a separate mention of it in the individual post page.
As it appears that WA's "assistance" with affiliates has grown and is growing even more, with a default I think in the algorithm to Amazon without a doubt it should be updated and explained.
It is currently a little negative for the platform.
The info on the AIO SEO is still relevant in some ways, and even if all the recommendations don't work, it has taught me things to consider and better my thinking outside of the box, so do you think that the SEO Widget onboard inside WP is more up-to-date?

Thank you for sharing this information. It has been a while since I joined Amazon as an associate. I remember failing to meet 3 sales the first time I tried. The second time, no problem but I had a lot more posts on my site with good content and links to some good recommendations so that helped.
I still struggle with SEO, but I am glad you were able to figure some things out with the All In One SEO.

It's great that you seem to be pushing forward with your online business. One thing is for sure is we never stop learning, but that's half the fun! It's also great that we have a very helpful community around us.
Just put another spanner in the works, I use Yoast SEO, I must admit that I prefer it. It has a lot more reviews and downloads than all in one SEO or at least it used to have!

Funny you should say that. Last night I installed Yoast on my other site, and I found it very good and will probably do the something with the site I have All in one SEO on. The AIO SEO, has caused a pounding of EM's from its partners, which is a big no for me.
I think the premium versions might have slightly better advantages. But for now......
So "Let's go Yoasting" is my call.

That's good to hear that you have installed Yoast on one of your websites, Rob. I appreciate that we all have our favourite plug-ins, etc, but I've always preferred Yoast. I'm not quite sure why it's not been recommended by the Wealthy Affiliate platform, especially when you take into account the popularity of Yoast.
I have tried the premium version of Yoast, but at the moment I just have the free versions. I'm not sure with the way SEO is at the moment, if there would be any benefits of the premium version.
