Why Your Website Matters More Than Ever (Even Beyond Google!)
Why Your Website Matters More Than Ever (Even Beyond Google!)
If you've been spending endless hours tweaking your website to satisfy Google, Jay just dropped a huge truth—a JAYBOMB—and it’s a game-changer.
Let’s face it, Google has been more of a habit. I’ve personally been using it since the early 2000s and rarely turned to other search engines. But things are changing.
In his latest video, Jay reminded us that Google isn’t the only way people find content anymore. AI-driven search engines, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and even ChatGPT Search are surfacing content that real people want—without the constant algorithm changes we’ve been struggling to keep up with.
So, does that mean websites are becoming irrelevant?
Absolutely not! In fact, your website is more important than ever. Here’s why:
1. Your Website is Your Digital Home Base—Your Digital Shopfront
No matter where people find you—whether through AI search, social media, or alternative search engines—they still need somewhere to land. That place is your website.
Think of it like this: Google, Bing, ChatGPT Search, and social media are like road signs, but your website is the destination. It’s where you build authority, trust, and long-term relationships with your audience.
2. SEO Still Matters—But Smart SEO, Not Just Google SEO
Jay isn’t saying to forget Google SEO—he’s saying don’t put all your eggs in Google’s basket. Bing, Yahoo, and AI-driven search engines still use SEO principles, but they prioritize user intent and content quality differently. This means:
- Helpful, engaging content ranks well anywhere.
- People-driven content (not just keyword-stuffed text) performs better.
- Bing and ChatGPT Search are actually easier to rank on than Google.
3. Multi-Source Traffic = More Stability & Growth
Imagine if Google de-indexed your website tomorrow—where would your traffic come from?
If all your effort has gone into just ranking on Google, you’re vulnerable. WA training has always encouraged Bing and other search options, but now with even more emphasis on diversifying traffic sources.
If you’re also visible on:
- Bing & Yahoo, which process millions of searches daily
- AI-powered search tools like ChatGPT Search
- Social platforms where people actively engage with content
- Email lists, direct referrals, and community-driven traffic
Then you’ll always have consistent traffic, not just from Google.
4. Wealthy Affiliate is Still Your Secret Weapon
Some might be wondering, "If Google isn’t the only way, does WA still matter?" The answer is yes, more than ever. WA isn’t just about Google SEO—it’s about:
- Building strong websites that perform well across all search platforms
- Creating valuable content that attracts visitors from multiple sources
- Learning how to grow your business beyond Google’s limitations
- Tapping into new WA training on Bing, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, TikTok, and more
Conclusion
Your website is still the foundation of your online success and potential passive income—but smart marketers are breaking the habit and expanding beyond Google.
Your Turn! Let’s Discuss:
- Are you still focusing only on Google, or have you started exploring other traffic sources?
- How have your own search habits changed—do you use AI search or Bing more often?
- What’s been your experience ranking in Bing, Yahoo, or AI-driven searchs?
I’ll be sharing more as my plan and success evolve with these new directions.
Would love to hear your thoughts below! 🚀

Thanks Rob!
JAYBOMB sounds like a bathroom experience 😂
Here is the WA Vlog Rob is referring to: Why You Need to Pay Attention to Other Sources of Traffic Instead of Google Regards,
JAYBOMB
Sorry, Jay, I couldn't resist the temptation, and you have a wicked sense of humour anyway!!
I wonder if Bing has picked up on this post. ☺☺

My own search habits changed as soon as 2023 when AI went live. Well, it still uses the web and websites to locate information, but it's smarter.
I can also see that Google Search is already experimenting AI search, have you seen that?
How do I submit my content to Bing, ChatGPT Search, and the rest?
Will these newer search engines miraculously find my content on their own?
John
Ah, just deleted mine before moving on to the WA for one of my websites. I thought I didn't need it.
Thanks for sharing...
John
I’ve always submitted my articles to both Google and Bing. Google has been very questionable lately with what they’re showing in SERPS. As far as ranking in Bing, not much difference for me really.
I do have articles ranking well on Yahoo but I’m not exactly sure how much good that’s doing me.
Voice searches are an interesting topic. My wife uses Alexa and/or Siri all the time, but I’m not sure how we will monetize through these types of searches.
Hey Steve,
Unless Alexa and Siri can take credit cards, it's not a viable option for us at this time.
Places I would consider are socials, video and Pinterest
Hi Steve,
I have been too, but some how I have to keep verifying my ownership with Bing.
Rob
That happened to me for awhile too. Not sure how but it cleared up finally. Idk why my favicon doesn’t show up in Bing though.
I keep getting this message— Your site lacks inbound links from high-quality domains
I’m like duh! That’s the mystery I haven’t solved yet.
Looking at Bing this morning, results look better than Google for both my sites.

I am following Jay's lead and looking more at Bing analytics. I forgot to add a newer site to that but just did today.
My more established site of ten years is doing better in Bing than Google.
Hi Howard,
Glad you are, it should be a little easier for the longer serving 🤞
