Hi everyone, I need some assistance here before I screw things up. I have transferred one of my other sites to WA and it is working but I don't have all the options on wordpre
Hey Robert,
It sounds like your website was NOT built using WordPress else SiteSupport would be able to easily transfer your content to WA.
Hope this helps you.
It was built with wordpress that is why I am confused, doing more research to figure it out. thanks
Then... if you can install plugins, here's instructions on moving a WordPress website to WA. The Easiest Way to Move Your Site to Wealthy Affiliate
Thank you for asking this question, Rob!
I would love to know too. Want to move our bike business website to WA.
Wish you success!
Aloha, Jenna
Thank you very much, Rob!
Yesterday I sent a request to Support.
They gave a green light for the move. Some precaution steps will be implemented. We have a WordPress based website hosted by the blue host.
Obviously you can move easier from WP to WP.
I guess time to say Merry Christmas!
I wish you and your family beautiful holidays!
Aloha, Jenna
Hi Guys, I am being told that to bring my website to WA and be hosted at WA i need to rebuild it after they bring it over. I don't know how else to say it. thanks
And it's a WP based site?
Have you considered using a backup plugin, backing everything up, setting up a new site with the same theme here at WA and then restoring it? Do it under one of the free siterubix.com domains and test it out and then move your domain and move the site to it.
that sounds like a good idea, i need more access to my site, I have never been given access to the widgets for that site.
We'd need to know more of the details as to what isn't working or can't be hosted here to be able to help you out. Can you give us a bit more?
All those are available Robert.
Maybe you are talking about the changes and differences "caused" by the Wordpress update and Gutenberg.
But the core Wordpress features and tools are same regardless of your hosting company.
The hosting company never gave full access to website like WA does so there is no widgets or appearance section

Is it a weebly site, or Godaddy site, or something like that? If it's not WordPress, then moving it here will absolutely take some kind of rebuilding or managing to host it properly here, since this is WordPress optimized hosting.
If it's not a developed site, e.g. getting traffic, you may want to consider leaving it at its current host, depending on how much that host is costing you. Paying to rebuild the site may not be worth it if it's just a domain with a couple articles.
Up to you though!
it is a worpress site, and does have traffic. not much though. . so if it is a wordpress site shouldn't it be able to be brought over without rebuild? thanks
If it's a WP site, you should be able to bring it over without a "rebuild". However, there's a possibility that: 1) You misinterpreted what SiteSupport meant by "rebuild", and they simply mean move your site here in a normal site-moving process
or
2) There is something unique about your website that I'm unaware of, which would case it to be unable to be moved.
Either that, or I'm misunderstanding what's going on here.
I saw in Chat that you said it was from Accelerated Web Solutions. This is a questionable company, and the website they gave you may not be worth saving.
Did you write the content for the website yourself, or did they give it to you?
If they gave it to you, scrap it. It's not worth anything, and may even damage your site.
Did you choose the domain? If not, then the domain they gave you may not be worth much either, and are probably better off ditching the domain and starting fresh.
Unfortunately, companies like this prey on the ignorance of people and create cookie-cutter websites that start out five steps behind, crippling your business from day 1.

Got it moved over, just waiting for them to add all the dashboard contents, thanks
Ah, perfect. Glad it worked!
