10 Months In and 100 Blog Posts on My Website!
Hello folks! It's been a while since I reported in on my progress and I already wrote my daily blog post on my website today, so I thought I would share it with you.
I have been waiting for this day for so long! 100 posts seemed like a long way to go but I finally reached my goal!
My screenshot says 103 published articles because they include my Affiliate disclosure, my Privacy policy page and my about me page. Subtracting them, I have written exactly 100 posts since I started my website in Dec 2017.
I have seen an increase in daily visitors since I started writing every single day as of September 19, 2018 (14 days = 14 blog posts since then) and hoping that it's going to climb up from now on. Since the August 2018 Google update, traffic has been a little haywire, sometimes getting as many as 110 visitors per day and as little as 59 visitors some other days.
Now that I'm at 135 visitors for today at 6:30 pm EST, I hope that it's going to keep climbing.
My next goal is to write 80 more articles until the end of this year, for a total of 180 posts to close off the year. By mid year of 2019, I am hoping to start to make a consistent income with my website. I'm in the make money online niche, so I know that due to high competitiveness, that I'm going to have to hang on a little longer than most others to see results.
I see great results for so many other people, so there is no reason why those results won't appear for me... :)
My challenge was to see if I could write 30 blog posts in 30 days, and I'm well on track to achieving this goal. I even made extra time yesterday to write an extra post to keep aside, just in case there comes a day where I can't write. This ready-to-go post only needs to be published and that's it!
By this time next year, I want to have a total of 400 posts and be in a better place than I am right now. I'm sure it will happen, through hard work and dedication. Just gotta take it one step at a time and be patient.

I wish I could say that it went up. I had spikes for 2 days and but the number of visitors is not improving overall.
However, from Vitaliy's post about reduced traffic, I know now that it may be due to christmas and new year's approaching. people would not be much concerned about making money online.
But come the new year, I'm sure there will be a big jump.. :) Keeping my fingers crossed..
You see, Reyhana, you can do it your writing goals are just amazing, I wish I could accomplish writing every single day!

My niche is competitive, so the more that I write, the faster I'll find results. Grace (littlemama) really inspires me so I will take her advice and try to reach 400 posts on my website.
By the end of the year, I'm hoping to be half way there.. :)

Thank you jennifer.. :) yes, that was my goal, to reach 100 posts. I'm glad that I did it under a year. Now I have 140 posts, so hopefully I'll reach my goal of 180 by the end of december.. :)

I don't mind at all! I like to help where I can.
I write between 1500 and 2200 words most of the time, but some reviews did go upto 3000 words.
lol.. I'm sure not as amazing as you think. I struggle sometimes and thus, my reviews are shorter, but sometimes, I want to be so detailed on a review and incorporate everything that I know and it ends up being longer.
I'm also experimenting with longer articles as I hear that it could hold some weight in helping you outrank some others articles. Haven't really found any consistencies though.

Yes you are amazing because you have got this far regardless of life happening.
I have read a lot about the length of articles and out ranking other articles on page one.
I do believe that longer more detailed articles could out rank for google.
There are so many theories. But also many readers want shorter and straight to the point information and there are a lot of articles ranking that are shorter.
I have shorter articles around 750 and a little more that are gaining traction.
I am still playing around with length because I can always add later if needed.

Yes, that's what we have to do now, experiment. Because different things will work for different niches, depending on the competition. And you're right, there are always things to add...

Thanks! Yes, I try to write as many words as possible on a post, and try to explain stuff in depth. I also think beforehand of the headers that I want to discuss and just let myself loose in a few paragraphs.
It's not that hard for me to reach the 2000 words that way.
I got so caught up with trying to write on my website that I completely forgot about this post. lol

Hi Reyhana,
That is a great effort. Impressive! Up until WA, apart from manuals, I had done very little “creative” writing. Might not be the right word, but you see the difference to writing manuals.
It’s not that I can’t write, just chose not to I guess. WA has got me into the writing mode, maybe not to your extent. You will be my shining example of how much I should/could be writing

Thanks Rob. Still not satisfied at where I am right now, but definitely on track to do better. Never put a barrier to how much work you can do, because this business is cumulative in nature. The more you put in, the faster you'll get results.
