Thanks for sharing. If we never had failures, we can’t learn from them. We’d be too perfect to need that. Because our humanness isn’t perfect this is why we must learn from our mistakes. Some will repeat them before learning how to change the outcome. There are things that are beyond our control. Onward to new lessons in 2023.
Skills like walking, swimming, dancing etc. can only be learned through making mistakes. Values, attitudes, and beliefs seem to primarily be a result of our parents and the social environment we grow up in, but they also can be changed as a result of the experience we have throughout life.
Luckily, I have never been in an active war or consciously wanted to harm others.
Being trained as a teacher, I learned to recognize potential in individuals that they were not aware of. Watching them become a learner was sometimes equivalent to seeing the Amorphophallus Titanium (Corpse Plant): The Largest Flower in the World That Blooms Every 40 Years
Some people believe brain cells quit growing after adolescents, but research and experience now tell us that if you believe they continue to be generated and act accordingly -- they do.

A great reminder that sometimes you learn more from your mistakes, although, not all of the places that I have worked support that logic. It is one of the benefits of working for yourself, you only answer to yourself, so take those risks and come out the other side a smarter person...

I totally agree.
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger, lol.
But yes, we should always be learning. Learning from materials, learning from others, learning from looking within ourselves, and learning from our own mistakes. In all aspects of life, there is always something new to learn.

Mistakes and failures are some of the greatest teachers around as long as we learn from then.
Picking yourself up shouldn’t be hard, but having the ability to realise and changing your approach and delivery can take a bit more effort.

You have a valid point here. We sometimes need that extra umph to know what we got to do to keep moving forward. I'm not gonna lie, mistakes can hit below the belt and hurt like hell.
