Dont get stuck in to Google Analytics!

Hi all the people in WA.

I wanted ta talk about Google Analytics and which problems can grow when you are obsessed with it.

I have been there.

All the newbies, don´t get obsessed with it! It can depress your performance and focus to more important themes. Like creating content.

I used to check google analytics every day before logging in to my WA account.

But it´s wrong.

The most important thing for the newbie here, is to focus on the training and to continue creating content for your site. Couple of first month it´s important to get your website going. Only with content, you can get traffic and new visitors.

Don´t start to track you visitors early in the beginning. Get you website going first and when you have about 30 posts on your page and made all the training here with low hanging fruits etc, it´s starts to make results.

I was quite assaulted by that for a while.

Then I realized, that my focus was gone. I made changes and focused to my posting.

Things went better after that.

So, please don´t make the same mistake.

If you must check Google Analytics, once a week is plenty. Sometimes I don't check mine for a month.

Good advice.

Good post and I agree we can spend too much time on analytics instead of focusing on out work in hand

Yes, It can be a problem sometimes.
Just like I had.

True, it's focusing on the past instead of the future.

That´s right.

Very good advice. As they say, content is king. Thank you for sharing.

You are welcome.

Great reminder Ravel. I love stats, but it's so easy to waste far too much time focusing on the wrong things.

You are right!

Great points. It is very easy to get distracted by things like Google Analytics. It was affecting me. Now I use it just as a checkpoint along the way. But until I complete all of my training it is not that critical to me.

That´s the spirit!

Best thing is forget all about it really is because half of it is BS!!!!

just follow your trainimng and do not miss a step (like I did) then do your training again - trust me on this!!!
write blogs every two or three days on you site
