Another day, another massive learning curve....

OK, so I have mastered adding affiliate links.. or so I thought I had. Now I'd like to add links that containk images, say from Amazon. This is not working for me!!! When I publish the post a whole load of gobildigoob appears - no image and no link! What am I doing wrong?

I decided to today to create review and have successfully done this but not yet published this. I saved an image from google images and simply had text links throughout my text. However this does not solve my initial problem for adding image links etc in other posts. Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, first of all if you are an Amazon affiliate there's some rules like you shouldn't post any image on your site. The image has to come from Amazon... Also, to insert your link to the picture, it depends on where you write your articles. Is it in site content, is it in the classic editor, is it in the block editor?

One thing about Amazon . You need an amazon disclaimer before every link or Amazon will not approve your sales and clicks they state in their rules.

Secondly If you are an amazon affiliate you can copy the link to the picture and add it to your site after the Amazon disclaimer.

Adding an image link is easy . You just click on the image and insert a link or use edit image in sitecontent. There you can add alt tags and insert links.
Just make sure you are using royalty free pictures.

Hi - you can't add an Amazon link to an image you have obtained elsewhere. You can only add Amazon product images by using the HTML code from the Site Stripe bar.

Yes that was what I wrote above in the secondly part . To copy the Amazon picture code and add to the posts.

The last part was answer to other posts and links that was mentioned.

Hi Mairi, once you have highlighted the amazon link copy it and paste it in the text part of your word press post. You decide where you want it to be added. There is visual and text. You need to click on text and insert the link there. Wait for it to load and you switch back to visual you will see the amazom image and text. Also Diane has given you a great link. Don't forget the affiliate disclosure.

Best wishes,
Michael

Hi - take a look at this training for the correct way to add Amazon images. As regards your Google images, have you checked that they are copyright-free? You cant just copy and paste Google images.
