A Little Unsure
Introduction
Good Afternoon to all you lovely people at the Great WA Family, as always do so hope that you are all keeping both safe and well!
Had to think about the title to this weeks blog as I really am not sure what I have done this week, decided to make a start whilst I am cooking Sunday Lunch and to finish this later. Lunch is simple today, did the Chicken in the deep fat fryer last night, only takes an hour, but goes further when cold! OK I am a mean old penshioner!!
Having said that I was at the Medical Centre on Tuesday for my MOT, it used to be every two years but having passed eighty it is now every year, still it is a trip out!! Pleased to say that, apart from bloods which are due back tomorrow I appear to be in rude health!
If I think hard enough I have possibly done some work this week, the heading photo is a thought as I actaully attended meetings at both my Legion Branches this week.
Lunch was very pleasant, the Raspberry Sponge with custard was a nice change, my wife who again is not too good just had the desert, but found it a little sweet.
Having had a refreshing nap thought that I would finish this before I do anything else.
The Last Few Days
As I said in the introduction, that really is a very good question, just what have I done!
Do know that the garden is coming on really well, with all but a square metre or so to finish weeding of the first flower bed, a number of perenials have been added as well, however rain intervened yesterday, very heavy as well, but at least it has helped the newly planted plants to bed in well.
So what have I achieved on the business front? If memory serves not a great deal! That might be a little unfair on me, but I just do not seem to have been able to get going this week.
I have had a look at some material which I have not yet really studied, it has given one or two ideas to work on, having said that seem to recall doing a book cover, must check that out.
Certainly must update my daily/weekly ideas diary, getting slack again!! Seem to be more content just watching the television or a DVD. I do know that I really need a holiday, which is not going to happen as I cannot leave my wife alone for more than a few hours at a time.
However one must just put up with these things, it is called life!!
The Next Few Days
Having just read this over, think that I need to clear the drawing board and see just, not only how I need to proceed, but in what manner so that I can have a business that works again.
This could be easier said than done, but have just had a germ of an idea!!
Conclusion
So what is this germ? To look at all I have, websites, notes, ideas and material , write down what I find that I like, then pick just one website and WORK ON IT, until it is fit for publication, or letting the world see it!!
The only problem that I can see with that idea is ME, I get frustrated and want to move on all the time, if something is not quite right, I want to move on to something that will work. At my age I really should know better, also do not always have the time needed with the household tasks that I now have to do!!
Have had a look at the bulk writer on WA, this has made me think that if I work on one of my sites for a few days and produce enough content to last several weks using the bulk writer that would make a start on a site which I could then leave to run on its own whilst working on products to go with the content, so I am not totally brain dead after all!!
Having just read this back, once one site is sorted could always use the bulk writer to have others running as well. But must be careful that I do not too carried away!
In all honesty I do get very tired with all the extra work that I now have to do, but I do try to grin and bear it.
Probably need to work on a planner that incorporates both my home tasks and my business, the one thing that would stop me doing this it would be like over forty years ago when I was in the Air Force.
Starting to rant, so please forgive me, this litle outburst has done me a power of could, just need to let of steam at odd times, especially when I have no cricket, which means no mental relief. I find that talking to people does help an awful lot.
Be Happy, Healthy and Wealthy,
Please do stay safe
Take care,
God Bless
Stuart

Hey VH
Again, you're trying to do too much. You have a LOT on your plate with your wife, garden and other obligations with the Legion. I'm sure you don't have the energy you once had. I know I don't!!!
I was laughing at some of your words. It's almost like reading a foreign language. Medical center for your "MOT" and you're in "rude" health? When I worked, one of our competing contractors was from England (that's how I was able to visit) and they were always fun to talk to between the accents and different words.
This past week zipped by and this one is going to as well. I have too many commitments right now. It's ok but I do wish it would slow down as Autumn is my favorite season.
As for you, YOU TAKE TIME TO REST and take care of yourself as well as your wife!!! That's an order!!!! It's ok to vent, we all need that.
Always
Your VW
Hi VW,
All I can say is thank goodness for you and our friendship, you have no idea how much your post has helped me this morning.
Do hate to admit it that a woman is right in your observations but you are.!!
Regarding the Legion, unless I get invited anywhere my time is only to the odd meeting, have had to attend those last week to ensure that rules are not being broken, but after the AGM's next month will be restricting my visits to an as needs basis.
Had to smile at your take on English words, when I flew to the States in the Vulcan, I was sat with the other Crew Chief having a coffee, the Aircrew were at the next table, the waitress asked why we spoke such funny English, we replied "We are from England" to which she answered "They speak English in England?" the crew on the next table collapsed in fits of laughter. OK she was probably a very dumb blonde, but it does go to show how much fun you can have with languages!!
As usual I am trying to do too much, have made a decision, have a four day cricket match next wek, the last of the season, so that will be all apart from checking the garden and making sure that my wife is OK.
The computer will not be touched apart from a quick check on the email side of things, as they can rapidly get out of hand.
Could even take myself for a quick drive round our lovely countryside, but that I will see, as I do get some lovely views driving to Derby, as I go the scenic route.
Regarding your last paragraph, feel like standing up, saluting, and saying "Yes Ma'am".
You are so needed for my mental health, so thank you dear lady, take great care and have a great week.
As always
Your VH
Glad to be of service but you hate admitting a woman is right?????? Hmmmm. At least you saluted at the end. 🤣
Also, dumb blonde?????? Again, hmmmm. You're not winning any points although I do agree that she must not have been the sharpest crayon in the box as we, in America, would say.
Happy to hear you're taking a break. I think it might do you wonders. Stepping back from everything helps put it all in focus so you can determine what needs to be done.
Enjoy your week. I'm working on appointments for myself and my car. We both need annual checkups even though I'm not a fan of doing them.
BTW, you know you can always feel free to vent. Writing it out often helps.
Your VW
Hi Babe,
Did think that I would get in hot water with a couple of my comments, as long as you still love me!!!
Isn't language funny? Especially when you consider that it originated in England! its good fun though!
I hope that your check-up goes all right.
Take care as always,
Your VH
Certainly sounds like you and your wife could do with a break away from everything Stuart...
If you ever feel like popping down to Lyon for some time... I have spare bedrooms and will welcome you with very wide arms....
Take care my friend and think about it ok.... :-)
Stuart you made me learn a new word today: penshioner. I had to look it up. I had a general idea, but now I know!
I'm sorry your wife is ailing. That can cast a shadow over everything we do and think. I hope she begins to feel better.
It sounds like your "germ" of an idea could come to fruition with proper nurturing. I hope you are able to pull all of the elements together.
My thoughts are with you! Take it easy, rest when you must and work hard when you can!
Karin
Hi Stuart, my mother is 84. It's hard to believe it. She reports she gets tired fast. She is in good health. She did have her gallbladder removed a couple of years ago. So sorry about your wife not doing well. Yes, regardless of age, grin and bear is the best thing we can do. Life is what it is, as many seniors say, myself included, at age 60. Well, you only can do what you can do. Sleep well. Start again tomorrow.

Hello Stuart,
I am sorry to hear you are feeling overwhelmed with all the duties.
I must say I got slightly overwhelmed this week and due to a mental illness I suffer, I did not sleep for over two weeks.
It is hard keeping up with the Jones as my mum would say.
To be honest I am just glad to wake up each day and whatever I get done is enough in my books.
Life can go so fast and even faster with everything AI has to offer and we must be sure to get R & R
You might enjoy reading what I talk about R & R here Getting out of our Head- R & R I believe every day is a gift to unfold and life is not all about planning all the time.
Sometimes we just need to let go and see what unfolds in the mystery of life.
Wishing you and your wife all the health wealth and joy :)
Kind regards
Erica
