I put some screen shots below in case there are any tech wizards here. All I am trying to do is follow the instructions.
But I can't because number 4 and 5 I cannot get to because I keep getting asked to pick which app to use. HP or something else.
Supposedly, if one can follow these instructions, then they should be able to fix all of the noindex thing on search console.
Feel free to right click anywhere on your blog and follow those instructions.
As was said here just a few minutes ago, Google cannot be relied upon for ANYTHING really. Google will basically drive bloggers away and people will start trying vlogging instead. But NOT with youtube.
This is complete insanity.
URLs with post names need to be indexed (actual posts) or %postname%
Others with feed, tag, category, author, page #, etc... Not.
Kyle's comment How do you remove 'noindex' detected in 'x-robots-tag' http header? =====
Try to press Fn + F12 instead or just F12 (Inspect, right-click)
Or use Ctrl + Shift + I to open Developer Tools directly.
Open Chrome in Incognito Mode and try F12 again. If it works, an extension might be causing the problem.

Okay, so I check google search console today because I have 591 posts and ZERO people going to my blog. SOMETHING is BAD WRONG. How can this even be possible I ask myself.
<
If you are using AIO seo plugin, check in its setting under Search Appearance, Content Types, and then make sure that certain items there are 'Yes' in Show in Search Results option (posts, pages, reviews). If you are using some other plugin, it should be similar.
The point is you do not need any app.
But indexed or not, your posts will be ignored by Google. I have them in thousands and they used to generate a 6-figure income, all gone, yet they are all indexed.
What others will not tell you is that this all is hopeless no matter what you do. If you need me to add more pessimism and 'negative energy' here, let me know.
Sounds like Brenda has you covered here.
We have to look beyond Google (diversify.)

Absolutely. Email marketing is a powerful way to get traffic. Too bad people forget this old marketing technique.

Sounds like you got hit just like everbody else on here with Google Core Helpful Content updates. Most of us lost traffic. We have to pivot to social media. You cant depend on Google for organic traffic anymore. Most are going to social media.
According to the instructions from Google, checking the view source of one's blog is easy, but once I click the F12 button, I get asked to pick an app before continuing whereas in the instructions, I need to go down and uncheck something and then hit save.
Can't do that because I don't know which app to pick.
As far as SM is concerned. I have found it to be a JOKE.
I can get tons of people as follows but NO ONE cares about a blog. No one goes to my blog.
Zero likes almost. So yeah, SM can get attention on what YOU are posting, but most just don't care about clicking and reading blogs.
That's just a FACT. SM doesn't work unless you have a name already. Like Grant Cardone.
Thanks for responding.
How can I get to your blog?
I am willing go there to read what' s there, Professor68.
Please send directions.

There is no app. Google has deem your content not helpful and deindexed your articles just like mine. There is nothing to fix. If you found social media a joke then the other option is to do paid ads, email marketing, all of us lost Google traffic, no chance of recovery. Many are starting up a new niche then get hit with Google Core updates. Google changed the search results for the worse has been since September 2023 through August 2024 Google Core updates. I don't like social media either but I'm doing it. Many are going there they go where the traffic is. So there's Bing. You can try get traffic there paid ads. This is the only way to get traffic. Marketing offline. Many different ways to get traffic. We pivot now. Google decides what is helpful. I lost my traffic but I'm not crying about it. I'm pivoting so will you. Find a way to get more traffic. Paid ads, or email lead marketing that's what I am doing right now to build an email list. Grow it. You own the list, traffic can come from your list. Sorry to be blunt professor.
I'm not crying about it. I'm asking for anyone here who has highly technical skills on this. All I am trying to do is follow those instructions to see if it works.
As far as SM, glad it's working for YOU, but it DOESN'T work across the board for everybody.
No one cares about going to a blog on SM. Most of the people are just looking for followers, that's it.
What do you hope to achieve out of it?
I still do not understand what those instructions are for.

Social media is the place to build your email list, in your email list people go to your blog. Jay is doing a series. I see no app in Google Search console so we have no idea what you are trying to do. Right, even Google doesn't care about your blog either because of the helpful content update. So what app do you need. What technical stuff are you talking about? If you got articles deindexed -do rewrite get then I re indexed, I did that and Google refused to do it so I am pivoting to email marketing lead generation. If you have so many posts how come you don't have email list? Had you done that, you would have subscribers they can go to your blogs. The list of subscribers are your traffic generation. Why you not have done that? Should have in beginning, take Jay training. Its worth it.
I checked search console.
It told me to check my page source.
It gave me the instructions for how to do that.
Part of that is to right click anywhere on your site.
Then scroll down and click on verify page source.
Then click F12.
Then a page appears and you scroll down and fo some more clicks.
My problem is, once I hit F12 I only see a message that says pick an app.
HP and a few other apps.
Perhaps HP because my laptop is an HP.
Anyway, if I change one thing then go back to search console, that MIGHT fix it they said.
So it sounds like you are looking for your “no index tag,” ? in page view source? If you use SEO plugin like SEO framework, or others, usually that plugin takes care of it. F12 is the view source. What it is is your html tags. If all of your content is “no index.” then your SEO plugin should index it all that. It must be your HP that's doing this-you can go to any browser and click view page source. It might not mean anything. Google suggests you to view of you have “no index tag” on all of your blog posts. Is that what you are looking for?? Please be more specific perhaps link to that Google developer tool page so we can help you.
That's what I noted below.
They said they didn't get it.
You may be right about the HP thing.

Ignore HP- must be HP thing nothing to do with Google search console. That's why I never use PC. Too confusing. Windows is too complicated. I am an Apple Mac user have been since grad school. Never went back to PC. I wouldn't worry about it. Drop it. I don't think its connected with GSC.
