my first article published
Getting my first article published today was an accomplishment. It is on squidoo about my daughters down syndrome. I am also waiting to get my other one published on street articles, I just have to have relevant material on my landing page, but am not sure what that means. I am just not sure if I need to blog about it or what. But all in all I am starting to feel much better about this.
Can't wait till tax season, will get a new computer, with all its keys, if I can keep my kids away from it.
Hopefully Windows 8 as I am working off of Windows XP still. Any suggestions out there? Reasonable price tag, I am a stay at home mom on a budget. Thanks guys.....Pokokitty

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. It really helps to know there are people here behind me.
You most definitely will get better. I remember when I started writing content online it took much longer than it does now. WIth practice you will only get more proficient and it will become second nature to get a page up on your site or an article at Street Articles.
Congrats on your first article...that is a big accomplishment and a step forward in the right direction.
I do have a question, I think Labman is helping me answer. For my street articles that I need to publish. For my landing page, what/where do I need to have relevant info? Thanks for any info.
Have a look at this and see if it helps you to write your articles. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-write-an-article
Relevant material is something on the same topic as your article or lens. Typically, you will use the lens or article to get people to your site where they will get more information on the topic of interest. So if you have done a 400 word article. Get some great information to fill out the topic in your article. Do NOT copy the other content off of your other places. You can rewrite it a bit. The point should be that they get interested in the topic off of your site and get the whole deal when they get to your site. Or, just enough information to get them to purchase the product that you are promoting.
Thanks for the link, I have been reading article writing in my courses here, but everything helps.
Hi, Pocokitty. I agree with Kathy. It's very difficult to just get started on an article.
I don't think that anything I have attempted to write has turned out very well. But
keep trying.
Congratulations, Pokokitty! I'm so proud of you. Just writing an article is hard enough without some keys missing too. Good for you for your perseverance!
Many congratulations. The first one is always the hardest. and it's very satisfying when you have it under your belt. You can now say that you're an internet writer!
Congratulations! Proud of you...stick with it. What is the link where you posted on Squidoo? I would love to see it and like it!
I don't know if you are looking to get a laptop or a desktop, but when you get ready to get a new computer you can go to Walmart and get one. You can get one for a reasonable price and you won't have to wait to get it. There are other places online you can get some good deals too. Two are buy.com, newegg.com that my husband uses to buy computers and accessories. You can get on their mail list right now and they will start sending you email on specials that they have and you can do some research to see what you may want in a new computer.
Our household has switched over to all laptops except one desktop that my husband uses for some of his work applications, but otherwise we use laptops here. They tend to be cheaper but can be damaged easier than desktops. With children your needs may be different. Hope that helps some!
Again, congratulations!

Congrats on getting that first article out. The first one is really the hardest, after that it gets easier. One other note, if you need a keyboard for your computer, one place you can always get them really cheap is at thrift stores. You can usually expect to pay only a few bucks, and that will get you by until you can get a new computer. Plus you are helping the community a bit in your area, which is always a good thing.
OMG, I don't know why I didn't think of that, thanks for reminding me.
