Sumome, Progress Report, and Earthquake in Ecuador

On SumoMe-

If you are using primarily SumoMe like myself on your website, I have a word for you. I have more than one website and maybe a couple that I do not update as often as I should. When I have been less than active, SumoMe will regulate the guilty website to inactive status or delete it altogether on the free plan. (I am cheap yet, still have a few more bucks to make!)

The first time this happened I freaked out. Oops! I have learned though that we never need to do that, so, take a deep breath.

All I have to do now, instead of panicking is to sign in and open the apps I need to become active again. It happens. Happy fix until I can become a paid customer!

Even like the deleted website I encountered tonight, i only had to sign in for it to pop up again. Just don't re-copy or paste anything. No need to do that, unless you took it off.

My progress-

Times are kind of crazy and I find myself in a predicament, trying to fix what I can't or pouring energy into senseless details.

  • Websites take time. Make sure you rule your website and that it does not rule you.

I am not a perfectionist and enjoy the fact that I can get a post going, publish in progress, and add video, links, amazon or more topics later. I have no shame in that regard and it helps me to keep up with posting regularly. I mean, who wants to see an incomplete post?!

The Earthquake in Ecuador!

(Pictures courtesy of Carlos Frias, unless stated otherwise)

I have a direct connection in Ecuador via a local business owner where I live who recently moved his family there. He said, the day after the one earthquake...

..."We had another interesting and stressful night after sleeping on the sidewalk with the family and having again another 6.1 earthquake get us on our feet and ready to run.
All your thoughts are very appreciated and I'll be back to running BCM by Sunday unless we have another big earthquake and finish us all.
People here have lost everything, we've lost almost everything but we will not yield to adversity.
We were forced out of our home due to being unsafe but we are healthy and kids are playing earthquake every day. Their innocence is refreshing at this time. They love the police lights and military trucks driving around town. Fire trucks are way cool to them and all the helicopters are also WOW to them.
We will write about our experience once we are settled in and share some pictures that will make us all remember that what really matters is health, humanity and family..."

and in a message to me directly, he said this...

..."People lost everything here and we are trying to help but we lost a lot too. I'm sure any assistance would be appreciated by the people that lost homes and didn't have much to begin with. The problem is the how?..

I would like to do my part for a good man and family who actively cares about others and inspires me to be a better person myself. Your prayers and thoughts are appreciated for all those affected as they are in a long, painful process and have much to contend with before they can even think of rebuilding their lives.

I am so grateful for all we have in the States and hope to be able to reach out to Ecuador in some small way.. Since I am a Western Union agent , I know that funds to him can be transferred fairly easily. I will let you know how that goes..... These people have so much ahead of them.

Blessing to all and Keep Going! ♥pJ

Definitely need to continue to keep the people of Ecuador in our thoughts and prayer! I hope all will be ok with your friend!

He and his family seem to be doing okay so far.. Thank you Denise for asking...

Good to hear! You are welcome!

My feelings for the people of Ecuador. I was in Guayaquil, Quito and the Galapagos islands years ago and they are special.

They really are! Thank you for sharing that, Mike! Have a good night! Pj

Praying for the people of Equador Paula!

Wow! Children are so resilient! We may gain some things with age but we also loose so much. My prayers have been and will continue for families in Equador.
Thanks for the sumo-me info too.

Isn't that amazing... how we adults see disaster & the children see just fun & excitement. Beautiful perspective. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely! Thank you for the insight as well! Have a great day!

It is a reminder not to give up in our new businesses or personal lives, even when we feel like we just lost it and do not know where to turn.

That is right Laurie! So true. We do not realize the effect we can have one on one...
