Can anyone explain how this works?
You can read everywhere that WordPress.org makes 3 copies of the pictures you upload.
So, you have 4 copies in total (3 copies + origin

All of your images will be stored and can be managed in the Media Library, but you can take several different paths to get there. The most common path is adding an image directly to a post or page.

This automatically saves the image in the Media Library and displays the image wherever you inserted it.

-Mike

thats what the responsive bit of your theme is ...
it will take what you put and calculate how much screen size you want and then scale it - and use the closest smaller one it can on a smaller screen..

You can either access via the site content area - websites tab top menu

I click the highlighted mountain button. Or https://enginescout.com.au/wordpress-image-sizes/

How does wordpress.org handle the pictures?

My website has been moved to another server and now I have to use "https://website.com/wp-content/uploads/picture.jpg" instead of "https://www.website.com/wp-content/uploads/

As Phil states, you do not need the “www”.

-Mike

The www became redundant many years ago. Just leave it out.

That's fine; both are okay. Now, most sites omit the www in the beginning.

Linking to pictures with "https://www. website.com/" or "https://website.com/" (i.e. no www.)?

I can't imagine nob

I was unaware of this. I found the following post
coconuts dot co/bangkok/news/heres-why-paypal-will-be-cut-off-in-thailand/

I would suggests you contact WA billing and see what can be done.

https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/contact

Category: Billing

I already contacted support, but nothing came out of it.
A few day ago I read about Paypal that they were allowing the personal account again, and that's why I tried to make a personal account again, but as you can see in the picture, it's not available.
Probably due to Thai regulations.

How were you able to pay the first month to become a paid premium member? How and where was your money accepted from?

I'm using a friend's creditcard. That's not an ideal situation...

At least you can move forward.

We pay annually and before monthly and we never had any issues before.

Totally up to you to choose Personal or Business.

You still have to certify your card | bank account to lift up limits.

With a business account, you can do sales transactions and a lot more things.

You also get charge discounts on volume sales.

What seems to be the issue? May I ask?

I'm only talking about paying from within Thailand.
I have a dodgy solution by using someone elses credit card but it's a bit awkward.
Setting up a company without having an income is costly and pointless. I don't even have a full-grown website yet.
Before I make any money I need a personal account.
But Paypal doesn't allow personal accounts in Thailand.
The only other WA option, is paying with a credit card, but my credit cards are in THB.
I have a Wise account, with USD a.o., but Wise doen't allow you to have a debit card if you live in Thailand.
I already pay bills in EUR e.g. and I have set up direct debits in EUR and I could easily pay in almost any currency, but there is no credit card.
There are a lot of digital nomads in Thailand. I presume most of them still have there home-base in another country. If they change their domicile toThailand, and they want to work with WA, they will have a problem with paying.

You may want to discuss this with Kyle going forward to see what options are available for you.

However if you can do with a PayPal business account I would definitely take the opportunity.

Hope you are able to resolve.it somehow.

Or you can remain with your current arrangement.

Thank you I appreciate your notes.

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

I'm doubting about showing a picture about a subject first, and then talk about the subject, or first talk about a subject and then show a picture to illustrate the text ?

I consider images as a way to enhance the subject matter. I always have the content in mind before I decide on images.
Long sections of print without some kind of illustration is very boring. The eye and the mind need a break. Your images should pull the reader in to your content and keep them interested in your subject material.
As an old newspaper person, I was taught to place images so that they pull the reader into the text. If You want a reader to keep reading, place an image where it will draw the reader into the text, not away from it.
There is no hard and fast rule. Images are used to define the text, in my mind. But be creative.

Typically the safest way to use images in a post is to simply use a centered image without wrapping text around it. The reason being that the text can at times look "off" when the content is rearranged for mobile or for tablets even when using a theme that is supposed to be mobile responsive.

Additionally, it can be further thrown off when a reader decides to change perspective from portrait to landscape when on mobile or tablet.

As far as which comes first, the image or the text, I think it depends.

If I'm writing a travel blog and one of the subheadings is "Finally, Hawaii!" I'd probably have a nice picture underneath that subheading before I went on to talk about it in the paragraphs below the image. So that would be image before text.

However, a couple paragraphs down I might describe another scene and this time follow a lengthy description with the image. "Can you believe this view???" [followed by centered image].

All in all, don't over think it, just go with what flows. :)

My preference is to flow the text around the picture with the top of the text in line with the top of the picture and the image resized to about a third of the available width.

How big is the picture? Is it possible to put it on the right side or left side next to the text . It all depends upon the size of the image however.. It will work for a laptop view.

And of course on mobile a picture on the left will show first.

I try both and test what works.

However the picture first sounds great.
