Use AI to Fuel Your Reviews
Use AI to Fuel Your Reviews
(Sculpture from My Local Library Using Old Computer Chips)
Your target audience for your reviews are people who:
- Are researching a particular type of product, such as an espresso coffee machine or a vacuum cleaner, with the intention of buying and
- Who are experienced (or at least comfortable) with buying online.
In addition, the product shouldn't be one that people need to see in-store before buying.
So that part's all about selecting the right products to review.
It goes without saying, of course, that you must be an affiliate for the products you are reviewing and must be making genuine recommendations based on either personal experience or extensive research.
In fact, I recommend that once you've made enough money on affiliate commissions, and your review is constantly bringing in money, that you purchase your top recommendation and add your personal experience to the review, including an unboxing video.
You'll have both a nice new appliance (or whatever) and a review that's even more successful.
What Makes a Successful Review?
Besides the above, a successful review addresses the questions going through the prospective purchaser's mind.
AI can help you discover these.
Here are some prompts to use:
List 20 concerns consumers have when buying a [your product here].
Describe 20 different possible consumers who would be looking for a [your product here] and highlight how their needs differ.
What are the top 10 things consumers forget to consider when buying a [your product here].
From the answers to these, you can determine who your target audience is and how to craft reviews that give them the information you want.
You'll get much more success with this than with reviews that essentially say "This is a great product and you should buy it now".

Using the block editor for the first time, so might be able to answer questions about it in Live Chat from now on.
I love the sculpture! How creative. I bookmarked this page because I want to remember these points when I get to writing reviews.
Thank you, Phil! You do take such time to write your posts to keep us informed and cuts out some of the learning curve!
Take care!

Thanks, Karin. I've spent a lot of time sitting in front of that sculpture waiting for the next move!
Or a comedy starring Ben Stiller (Night at the Museum). I like the horror movie idea though!

AI uploads itself into a computer, which is then broken down into its component boards and chips, which a young sculptor uses to create the chess players. The AI now has a schizophrenic personality, each inhabiting one of the chess players. Only the audience can see them move as they start to take their revenge on the people who broke up the original computer, whom they worship as their god.
Awesome! I love the idea. I better finish my other books before I start writing a movie script. Or better yet, you can write it and I'll just enjoy going to the movie!

Phil,
As always, great practical suggestions- adding the reviews that go with ownership of the product you are reviewing will be more sincere than other additions to the post.
Thanks for the reminder,
Sami
