My New Business
I recently posed a question to the WA community in my blog post

The question was whether or not I should promote a weight loss supplement available through ClickBank with a very high gravity (which means other affiliates are having success with it) and an excellent commission payout.
This would be on an anti-aging site that I'm totally revamping, that also promotes health, fitness and weight loss (along with skin care, stress relief and financial management).
I had some great responses.
Some were along the lines of "No, don't touch it; you'll destroy your reputation" and others were "Sure, why not? Give them what they want."
But a few made suggestions that I'm going to build on to create a new business.
First of all, I checked out the ClickBank product. It actually looks pretty good. All natural ingredients and manufactured in the USA in an FDA approved laboratory. It's a liver cleansing product, so tackling obesity at the root cause, rather than some sort of yucky laxative type thing.
But the problem with any supplement is they only work short term. To not only lose the weight but keep fit and slim, you have to engage with those two words, diet and exercise.
So what I decided to do was create a new business, oriented towards teaching my clients not only how to stay fit and slim but to achieve happiness in their lives as a result.
And to use the supplement as a gateway into that.
So they get a double whammy - start to lose the weight now, but learn how to continue to their ideal weight, at the same time learning habits that will keep them there for the rest of their life.
So I've just registered the domain name happyfitandslim.com. Not very imaginative, I know, but it encapsulates the three things I want to teach in this program.
I've pointed the domain name to WA's servers and will build the website in the new year.
And as you may know, I'm on a steampunk kick, so I created this image of a fit couple and may use it as my site identity.
Let me know what you think of the concept.

Happyfitandslim is very creative. Happy at the beginning of the name
is a home run. It shows that not only will they get fit and slim, but they will be happy in the process.
Please make sure the supplement doesn't have EDTA, as it may cause kidney failure and seizures in some people if used for a prolonged time. Senna is used to lose weight but it may cause faintness, nausea, and stomach discomfort in some people if used over 15 days. Some diet products contain aspartame (a sugar substitute). In some people, Aspartame may have too many side effects.
You will be surprised, by so many products with NATURAL ingredients, manufactured in the USA by an FDA-approved laboratory. They may ALSO have EDTA, Senna, or Aspartame.
It is something they call "consumer Beware", meaning that if the manufacturer lists the ingredients, the consumer has to read the
ingredients to make sure the product is safe.
Please choose diet supplements that have energy-boosting ingredients, so that they can follow your entire program.
I love your timing.

I am an Employing Yacht Broker for Nest Seekers International and a Realtor for Nest Seekers international.
How can I best use the resources of Wealthy Affiliate to also let people know when we have Yachts or Luxury homes for sale?

That only applied if you chose the more generic names of Online Business or Internet Marketing. You'd be telling your clients that your recommended pathway to a successful online business was affiliate marketing.

I would have thought that your Yacht and Realtor broker business was completely separate and would require a separate website.
I agree, one has nothing to do with the other.
It is a completely different business. It requires a different website.
If you can give me ideas of how I can better use the resources at WA to let people know about Yachts and Homes.
I can talk to people but right now I'm not good at internet marketing. If you can give me some tips. I will read it tomorrow. Here, in Florida is 1: AM. I'm going to sleep.

You're picking a good time to launch this site. At the beginning of the New Year, numerous people make plans to eat healthy, exercise and lose weight (me included). These plans kind of lose steam around Feb or Mar so if you can keep people going, it would be great.

What I like is not that you decided to sell a product or not. Let me tell you a story someone told me years ago.
About 20 years ago, there was this little company in Seattle. All it did was sell books and CDs online. But... if you looked at their business plan, it never mentioned either product. It had a business plan to create a process to sell products. Books and CDs were just a starting point.
The rest, as they say, is history.
We mightn't like what Amazon has become, but we can all learn from their business plan.
They are always selling, looking for opportunities. AWS is another example. They were trying to scale their business and realized really quickly "shoot we can sell this"
Sure sure, I also think digging through various growth channels is the secret.
You have to be careful about that though. Sometimes these growth channels secret are to get you to watch their videos and help them grow.
