Has Anyone Tried Solo Emails?

I mentioned that I was launching a training course called Happy, Fit and Slim in the weight loss and fitness space.

And that I needed a list of prospects to target the launch at. (At whom to target the launch? Still, as Winston Churchill once said "This is the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put" in response to a lady who criticized one of his speeches where he ended a sentence with a preposition).

I said that I'd report on the success or otherwise after I'd used a solo email supplier for a week (I've paid for one month so another 3 weeks to go).

Well in that time, I've added 32 new subscribers to my list (though one of them is me, so I really should say 31). Mostly from the US, with a handful from Australia. I had asked for the UK to be included in the geo-targeting, but they must have missed that. I've just sent them a reminder.

They are all at various stages in my Happy, Fit and Slim email series, so would appear to be genuine. No one's bailed out yet, at least.

Is 31 a good number?

I really have no idea. It depends on how responsive they are.

I'll be opening course registration on Friday March 1, with a pre-launch series of emails, videos and giveaways starting on Monday February 19.

I'm also implementing some additional advertising strategies, with the aim of having a list of 100 or more by then.

Also considering a JV strategy.
