Grasp the Nettle: Upgrade to Premium
Grasp the Nettle: Upgrade to Premium
This post is for everyone who has a free, starter Wealthy Affiliate membership and is unsure whether or not to take the plunge and upgrade to Premium.
Before you make that decision, there are a couple of questions I'd like you to answer:
- Are you ready to commit to the long-haul? Do you understand and accept that Wealthy Affiliate is not a get-rich-quick scheme but rather training that teaches you how to build an online business and that, like any business, it will take time and effort. Think in terms of around 6 months if you really commit to learning, implementing what you are taught and taking advantage of the generous help provided by the Wealthy Affiliate community? Depending on your personal work ethic and available time, it might take less or more.
- Can you afford it? Not just the initial $19, but the $49 a month for at least the next 6 months (or until you can cover it out of earnings)? Better still, can you afford to commit to a year's Premium membership? This will ensure that you have skin in the game and will increase your chances of success. And don't forget, there's normally a Black Friday special each year. But you can still join now and take advantage of the special later when it's available.
The Right Attitude
If you can answer Yes to both of these questions, then you should go for Premium membership. You have the right attitude and Wealthy Affiliate will provide the tools you need to be successful at affiliate marketing.
No Magic Button
But if you answer No to question 1, the best advice I can give you is to go away and try something else more suited to the way you want to work. There is no magic button at Wealthy Affiliate that you can push and the money starts flowing. In fact, that magic button doesn't exist anywhere, but you may need to find that out for yourself.
No Funds
If you answered No to question 2, well that's much more difficult, as it relates to your personal circumstances, and I'm not aware of those. Clearly, if it's possible to get some work that will independently cover the $49 a month, that would be a great investment. You'd have an incentive to replace that work with online income.
Aside from loans from family (and the big downside there is the unrealistic expectations they may impose on you) your other alternative is to attempt to make money from the free website that you can build with your free membership. This is not impossible but it is difficult. You should ask for advice in Live Chat while you have access to it, as other members may have insight into this.
Take the Plunge
So if you really do want to get passive income from affiliate marketing, are willing to commit and can afford to, you NEED to upgrade to a Wealthy Affiliate Premium membership.
This will give you access to all of the video lessons that you need to learn and also unrestricted access to other members all over the world via Live Chat.
If you use all the tools available to you and ask questions (relentlessly, if necessary) you can't help but move forward towards success.
So take the plunge and, as Nike says, just do it!

Without being too discouraging about it, I also wanted to tell those with the wrong attitude (or literally no money) that they are wasting their time.
Absolutely
But I also think that they think they can beat the system and make money without the need to upgrade :)
You see them in Live Chat. "When will I start making money?" Joined yesterday and haven't watched any training.
The sad thing is that they think there is a shortcut. The magic button I mention in the post. And that it's being kept secret from them. It never occurs to them that the "secret" is to learn how and then do the work.
I realise lol
But that is human for you - Always trying to find a loophole to stay afloat but not realising that they are doing themselves more harm than good

Yes, definitely go premium!

If you're serious about creating an online income, it's essential.
Yes, you can't complete the training without a premium membership.

It's also a measure of commitment. I really feel for those who say they simply can't afford it.
Yes, that is really unfortunate to miss out on a great opportunity like this.
