Double Vaxxed Today

With the start of winter only a fortnight away (that's two weeks for my American friends) I decided to book a flu vaccination today.

As I've had all the Covid-19 vaccinations and a 5th booster is now available, I asked how long I should wait before getting it as well.

Turns out the wait is no longer required.

So today I had the flu jab in my left arm and the Covid jab in my right, so that I can now head into winter with confidence.

However...

Although I'm totally for vaccination, I totally respect others' rights not to be. It's a personal choice and I'm personally interested in other people's opinions and their reasoning.

Appreciate the post, Phil.

Glad to see you're staying on top of your health and taking care of yourself.

I've never had the flu and never needed the flu shot. Likewise, with Covid. Not one symptom. I kept exercising the whole time, stayed hydrated, and even decreased the time I spend on social media that last few years - I believe that played a part in my mental and physical health.

But everyone's body is different. That's why it should be a personal choice, without all the draconian nonsense.

Isaiah 😊

Totally agree Isaiah. Your body can take care of most things if you treat it right.

From the start of the whole C19 thing, something in my gut didn't feel right. The contradictions in the news, the lack of rationale. It just didn't make sense on any level.

The fact, the definition of "vaccine" has been updated to "You can still get it and pass it on" but you are vaccinated etc.

And now the court cases are starting. People dropping like flies with heart problems. Even healthy athletes. The news won't cover it but with a bit of research, you can find out.

Thanks, Simon. As long as we can differentiate between actual scientific evidence and fake news, we'll be in front.

Hello Simon,

I hope you're well and business is good.

Ditto to your comment!!💯

Have a great day.

Roy

Ditto Simon!

We had to get the covid at work or a good chance we would be let go. We also had to get flu shot. Since I have egg allergy, I have never gotten flu shot but since I work for a University, they have one w/o eggs that I can get. I have gotten just the two covid shots.

I think the only profession that might have had that threat hanging over them was people working in aged care.

I had no issues with vaccinations, so now have had all 5 Covid-19 shots.

Hello Phil,

Amazing, you are going into winter and we are entering into the spring/summer months here in the UK. I'm glad that you have had no side effects from the vaccines. Some people seem to be affected and others have no side effects whatsoever from the vaccinations.

Good for you, Phil; yes, it's good to make vaccinations a personal choice rather than forcing people to take them against their will. I know your country was pretty hot on vaccinations, believe

I personally didn't take the vaccinations and won't be taking any vaccinations. I won't say any more on this platform about the subject as appropriate! But I agree, like you, Phil, it's good to hear and listen to other people's points of view, I think we call that debating and discussion! And that's how we all learn!

Wishing you all the best.

Roy

Yes, Australia was keen to achieve herd immunity through vaccinations but there was never any question of making them compulsory. You did need them for air travel though. We certainly emerged from Covid relatively unscathed.

There's been a lot of misinformation.

I'm glad that you emerged out of Covid relatively unscathed, Phil; that is good news. I agree; there was a terrific amount of misinformation going around.

Here in the UK, we don't really have news on the mainstream media, it's more the type of propaganda rather than honest news reporting!

Have a great day.

Roy

We had a nightly Covid update on the evening news, complete with a full-screen spreadsheet with stats on infections, deaths, predictions and which supermarkets were out of toilet paper!

Good morning Phil,

We had the same here in the UK, I don't know if we had the spreadsheets. I never did understand the toilet paper issue!

I am not sure at the moment, but at one point, our death rate was higher after Covid than it was when we actually had Covid! The "experts" can't work out why!

Have a great day.

Roy

The publicity around it seems to be all gone now. Not the virus itself but the spotlight on it and the semi-hysteria.

That's true, Phil! It's amazing how quickly things can be forgotten, sometimes, that can be a good thing.

Wishing you a great weekend.

Roy.

PS: I know you blog quite a lot on Wealthy Affiliate, I do really enjoy your content. I don't get a chance to look at all your blog posts, but I do appreciate what you do.

I would also like to go through some of your training at some point, especially regarding writing a book!

I have yet to get both Covid19 booster and Flu jab. They have been available for for quite some time. I'm not keen on having them both at the same time!

I found it very convenient, Val. But then I never have any side effects, not even a sore arm.

I'm the same, Phil. I've never had any adverse reactions. Maybe I will get them at the same time!

Good on you, Val.

Thanks, Phil.
I hope to have them this week.

Thanks Phil,

Zero side effects so far, as well.

I'm currently considering getting the next booster. Will definitely ask about getting them both at the same time here in New Zealand.

Cheers

That was my fifth, being the latest booster for Covis-19. It was certainly convenient getting both at the same time.

I'm surprised that the Covid booster is already available to you guys over there, here in Belgium it will be in September I think.
Oh for sure, I will get the booster, if science advises it , especially from my age of 51, I will get it.
The flue is given to my partner who gets it for free at his job. Myself I'm not sure if I will get the flue shot.
At the end of September I am leaving for South Africa, I hope to get Covid vaccin before then. And maybe hepathitis as well, need to look into it, although not obligated in SA.

Well it was certainly dead easy for me. Free as well.

Australia is often first in line for stuff like that. I think it's because we're a wealthy country with a relatively small population.

it was free here as well and no issues with waiting, in fact the Pfizer covid vaccine was developed in cooperation with Germany in Belgium ;-)
But I think they want to hold it off here until autumn because we are now in springtime here.

I guess that makes sense.
