Should I Laugh Or Should I Cry
You plan your day, you know what you are going to do. Big mistake! You forgot to ask everyone else around you what they had planned for the day. Well, that's the diary out the window!
Most days are like this. How can I plan for the unexpected. Or, should I plan for the unexpected to be expected? At times like this, you really wonder, should I laugh or should I cry?
It all started this morning. I'd planned to get up at 5 am and spend an hour writing before my usual day started at six o'clock. So, there I lay, dawn had broke, light coming through the windows, and I'm thinking to myself, I must get up soon. It must be almost 5 o'clock. So, there I lay wondering when it will be time to get up. Eventually, I decided, well that's it, I'm up!
I threw the bed covers over, pulled myself out of bed and looked at the clock - 6:30 am! Oh Fudge! Thirty minutes late from starting my normal morning routine. The rest of the day didn't get much better, so, I won't bore you with details.
Fast-forward 18 hours and here I am at 10:30pm, catching up on the work, I meant to do at 5:00 am!
Should I laugh or should I cry? Well, I have to laugh. I haven't completed what I planned to do. But, I have moved forward a few steps. Tomorrow is another day, and it will not be the same as today.

Laughter is the best medicine. Don't remember who said that??? I do believe it to be true though. You're still here, living and breathing, to get up yet another day. Don't sweat it.
I find that when the unexpected happens and keeps me from accomplishing my goals, I just have to go with it and smile. I say to myself "I'll get twice as much down tomorrow" and reset my expectations :)
Cheers,
Michael
I had to have a laugh when i read your blog Paul, because something similar happened to me this morning. My wife has gone away for a week and it was important for me to get out of bed by 6:00 am this morning. However, I slept in till 7:00 am even after having gone to bed early. Now this is something I never do, I always wake up between 5 and 6, and I never sleep in but the one day I needed to be up early I failed. Jim
I have a word for you . That is CALM.
Stay calm and believe that it is only a day for unaccomplished mission.
There is always a new beginning the next day. Cheers.
Paul, the great thing is tomorrow doesn't have to be influenced by what happened today!
Cheers.

P.S. I can relate too!
Laugh tonight then you can cry tomorrow when you do the same thing even though you mean to get up early again.
Lol! This morning was better, but I still didn’t get as much done as I wanted. But, I have found some great topics to write about. I’m excited about that.
Don't stress about it, this is not a race. You will get there with consistent effort. Take each day one at a time and you will succeed.
I think doing both Paul in different times is not unusual. If I was in your situation I could have cried in the morning when I woke up late as planned and laughed later at night because I was able to do what I was supposed to do for that day, even late at least I made it before the day ends.
