I CHEATED! And For a Measly £7.78 (Please Don’t Think Bad of Me)

It was Wednesday morning, 24th June 2020.

8.12am to be precise.

I’d taken a longer, more out of my way, route than usual for today’s morning run, but if I'm being completely honest, there was a reason for that.

I knew EXACTLY what I was doing.

Okay, we’ve now been in lockdown for a total of 92 days.

However, it had been even longer since I’d seen her.

Sunday 9th February, if memory serves me correctly

That’s 136 long days, nearly 20 weeks, almost 5 months, since I’d seen her, since I'd held her close, and experienced her erotic and sensual nature.

I couldn’t wait any longer - I had to have her today.

I know what you’re thinking.

I’m a CHEAT. I’m being unfaithful. But, do you know what, I DON’T CARE.

I’m a passionate and loving man. I have needs. And if these needs are not being met at home (especially throughout lockdown), then I think I’m entitled to satisfy my cravings.

And crave her I did.

To tell you the truth, she’d been a part of my life for more years than I care to remember.

I don’t know what it was about her. I only really saw her 2 or 3 times a year, and I typically got on with my everyday life afterwards, never casting a backward glance (or thought) in her direction.

Well until the next time I was with her.

With that being said, whenever I was in her presence, she unleashed all manner of primal urges and instincts inside me. She had an undeniable hold over me.

I was literally uncontrollable when I was around her. There was a fire in my belly and an intensity I simply cannot describe.

I just had to see her again, be with her, feel her warmth, smell her, and get absolutely lost inside her.

And, as I say, today was going to be that day.

As I ran towards where she lived I had a fleeting thought to just carry on past, and make my way back home.

But, I had run 6 miles, it was already boiling hot, even at this early hour,

I was tired, I was drenched in sweat, I probably looked a mess, but I was here now.

The anticipation was driving me crazy.

She knew why I was there, and I could tell, she’d been waiting for me too.

Once together, we made our way to the local park just round the corner.

I know what you’re thinking - classy, right?

We garnered a few strange looks as we made our way to the park.

I guess she looked impeccable as always, Fifty Shades of Steamy and Seductive Beauty.

And then there was me - caked in sweat, slightly out of breath, probably looking more akin to a drowned rat.

But I didn’t care, and I could tell from the way she was looking at me, she wanted me just as badly as I wanted her.

As we entered the park I just couldn’t hold back anymore. Passion, lust and desire coursing through my veins.

I was deeply aroused.

I undressed her within a matter of seconds, and in full public view of the dog-walkers, joggers and sunbathers already teeming through the park.

I didn’t care who saw us or whether people watched.

The anticipation had built to a massive crescendo, I couldn’t hold back any longer, I was about to explode…

And so I did what any red-blooded person in my position would do.

I bit deep into my Sausage and Egg McMuffin.

OMG, the taste of it.

I immediately unwrapped my hash brown and bit into that too.

Then another huge chunk of Mcmuffin. Back to the hash brown again.

I was in heaven.

Sod the coffee, I mean who gets coffee when it’s already sweltering at this time in the morning?

Although the meal deal at £3.89 is obviously a bargain.

I wolfed everything down in around 30 seconds.

Of course, it wasn’t enough. So, I went back to McDonald’s and ordered another meal deal (I got a bottle of water for my drink this time, far more sensible).

Being the piglet that I am, I did consider a doughnut as well, but then remembered I’d have to run (or walk as it turned out) back home

However, I smiled for the entire journey home.

(and for those of you feeling ever so slightly let-down and frustrated by this sudden turn of events - Get Your Mind Out of the Gutter, LOL)

What Motivates You?

My breakfast treat had put me in a good mood and I really didn’t care that I’d probably consumed twice as many calories as I burned.

As it turns out, it put me in such a fantastic mood that I’ve had one of my most productive days in weeks.

Okay, admittedly I felt a little stuffed (and even thought about having a little nap) once i’d arrived home, but the beaming smile hadn’t left my face yet.

It’s the little things that tend to please me.

Probably not something that I’d do every single day, but my greasy breakfast treat seems to have motivated me no end to get a lot of work done

In fact, food and drink have always been a great motivator for me (not typically McDonald’s you understand).

I remember times when I worked in the Banking Industry in the centre of London - we’d usually go out to a fabulous restaurant most Friday evenings.

And funnily enough, Friday would generally be my most successful day of the week.

Go Figure!

When news filtered through yesterday afternoon that bars, pubs, and restaurants were once again going to open in the UK on July 4th, do you know what I spent the evening doing?

Looking at menus online, making notes, checking what dates we’d be able to go to different restaurants.

Then while grinning stupidly to myself, I felt motivated enough to convert one of my website’s articles into a video, and uploaded it to YouTube, all in the space of 35 minutes (the motivation of food).

Don’t get me wrong, there are MANY things that motivate me, Food just happens to be one of them.

What about you?

What (unusual) things motivate you to have a great day?

Are you more productive on days when you have something to look forward to? (or are you unable to concentrate?)

Do you give yourself little rewards for a job done well?

I’d love to hear what keeps you focused, motivated, and on the straight-and-narrow.

Perhaps you can inspire me, or yourself for that matter.

Anyway, I did mention I’m a bit of a piglet.

I’m HUNGRY again.

What’s for Dinner?

Thanks for reading

Ha, I'm glad I circled back to take a look at more of your posts here on WA, Partha! There was I thinking you were going to plunge into the ocean after your run... never thought it would be Mcdonalds!

I knew it would be good reading... I might delay looking at more now to give myself a treat later.... and that will definitely be a great motivator for me!

Best wishes,

Jacquie

Partha,
A truly delicious piece! You should be a suspense writer- you had me on the edge of my seat.

Sausage and egg Mcmuffin -Mmmmm- they are delicious 😋 aren’t they? They are my favourite BUT they can be quite addictive and the calories are through the roof!

Ah well, I think it was a really good investment on your part since it got you writing!

Ceci

Oh Partha, you cad you. I was thinking along the lines of going to visit some special place, where nature reveals some hidden gem but once or twice a year. Alas, it was the lowly but delicious Mickey D's. You are forgiven this little dalliance. I too had a little tete-a-tete when it was allowed. Good post my friend.

Greg

Hahaha Thank You Greg.

No hidden gems here I'm afraid my friend.

Partha

I don't often go to McDonald's but I has a Filet-O-Fish yesterday's

You are a masterful writer. Your style and technique draw a person right in. Thanks for the great post! You held me breathless!

I find myself motivated most when I am avoiding other work! When I know I have five stories to write for the newspaper and I need to update the newspaper website, the only thing I find myself wanting to do is to write my own blog posts for my business sites.

So I guess, in a way, I "cheat" on my day job with my own business! Shoot, I guess I am a cheater, too!

Hi Karin,

Aww, thank you Karin, that's very kind of you to say.

Well, whether it's the newspaper site or the business sites, at least you're working, so that can't be a bad thing.

Partha

Nope. I love to work!

With 2020 Vision,
Karin 😎

Great post very engaging thanks for the laugh

You're welcome Dorrie.
